"Premise appeared rundown ,pictures online weren't what was in reality. Room was clean and tidy but needed a spruce up as kitchen cupboards didn't open and close well ,blinds across front door broken, Property could do with some love."

"Clean room and nice staff. Also the bar/restaurant was very good."

"Great location but not a happy reason for staying- I was pallbearer at my partners funeral, which was at the very nearby funeral home. Very handy to the city where my friend (who had brought me up from Kapiti) and I had dinner on the Sunday night. Good parking right by our rooms. Very friendly, helpful reception staff member. Good amenities- mine recently refurbished I think. Excellent colour choice for decor and a very comfortable bed. Thank you."

"very convenient lovely retro charm"

"The room was immaculately presented. Plenty of parking and excellent service from staff. Staff went way beyond all expectations."

"The compact studio room was perfect for a single traveller and very quiet. Netflix was a bonus. The shower's water pressure was great and there were plenty of towels, flannels etc. Good selection of coffees and teas. Only a few minutes walk to 3 supermarkets and a bottle store, plus takeaways if needed. Didn't use the adjacent Thai restaurant but it was very busy which is a good sign. Will definitely consider Motel 151 when back in Whanganui."

"Clean room, comfortable bed"

"Friendly staff, Clean & tidy room, comfy bed, all we needed for the night."

"Great location, clean and tidy, parking directly in front of the unit. I stay here regularly and recommend."

"Great value for money, location close to town. Little far for walking distance. Great for family. Staff was great to deal with, super helpful and friendly. Complimentary chocolate upon arrival one for each person staying. Recommend."

"Left after one night smelt of mould room was dirty wife got sick with asthma from mould and dust"

"Should have high water pressure for shower Good location"

"The room was spacious and very clean and the amenities block and kitchen were close by and suitable for our needs. Need some maintenance on the entry door to the unit it as it dragged very badly on the floor and was also surpised there was no hot water in the unit. Overall it was a good overnight stay."

"Amazing stay, would definitely return! The location is great, with a supermarket and plenty of food options within walking distance. The rooms are clean, modern, comfortable, and comes with a mini fridge and coffee-making facilities. Guests also have access to a BBQ area, a kitchen, and a laundry, which are handy extras. It's clear the owners have put a lot of thought into designing a property with guest comfort in mind. Highly recommended The Stables!"
