Did their best to resolve a screw-up

Rather than stay at an airport hotel on the night before our flight home, we decided to try a small city near Madrid, which was an excellent choice. We booked at the Hospederia del Comendador, but due to computer confusion, the hotel was overbooked. The very gracious host anticipated the problem and found us room in an apartment house around the corner--not a great situation but acceptable under the circumstances. I would give the Hospederia another try if we stayed in Ocana again.

Accueil agréable mais l'hôtel manque de propreté. Chambre et salle de bain très sales. Je suis très étonnée de la bonne note qui est affichée pour cet hôtel qui ne correspond pas à la réalité.

The owners were extremely friendly, clearly take the time to keep things clean, prepare a wonderful breakfast. They are quite fun to talk to and add a lot of local knowledge to staying in Ocana.

Very friendly, great value

Very friendly owner - very understanding of our inability to speak any Spanish (Google Translate was very helpful!) Thorough daily cleaning service (although the soap didn't need to be replaced every day, it's a bit too wasteful). Very good air con unit, really nice shower and decent wifi. The shower had a leak part way through our stay, but it was fixed the very same day! Communal kitchen area with fridge, coffee machine and microwave was very useful for lunch as well as the included breakfast. A few good restaurants nearby and a Dia (supermarket) just opposite. Parking spaces right out font, and more parking on the street around the corner if busy.

Lekker buiten Toledo maar toch dichtbij. Overdag naar de stad en 's avonds lekker in dit stadje eten, zonder veel touristen.
