"We booked 2 separate nights. Staff were excellent both at reception and in the restaurant. Views ans sunrises were amazing. Lots of on-site activities for families. First night was not the best. The restaurant food and service was excellent, however, the chairs were painfully uncomfortable. The room was dated, could have been cleaner, beds uncomfortable, coffeemaker broken. "Good peaceful location next to St Peters Canal "swing bridge", a beautiful view of Bras d'Or Lake. Good dinner atmosphere with local artists performing in dining room four nights a week. A little old and worn in appearance, but comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the guest laundry (washer) was not working the entire time we stayed here."

"Needs an upgrade. We rented 2 rooms fo the weekend. Both were comfortable - no complaints. One room - the lamp didn’t work properly - had to plug in/out of wall to turn it on/off. Carpeting in main areas on stairs was filthy and very stained. Just didn’t give a great impression on overall cleanliness. Rooms were clean. We weren’t able to make breakfast the first day - due to our own plans. The 2nd day there was a power outage overnight - where power was restored at 7:15. However they...
