"This hotel is truly the best of the best! I came with 3 friends and we stayed in a Vista Double Suite with 2 king beds. The hotel staff were an absolute dream. By the end of our trip they felt like family. Every time we sat down fresh glasses of ice water were brought to us. They were so attentive to all of our needs. "For the money, ESH is a great deal. Very upscale, quiet, and the entire staff will accommodate every need or request at all times. It’s not on the coast, but rather up the hill about 5 minutes from town and the beach. Town is a happening place whereas ESH is simply peaceful. Best of both worlds. "

"The Sunset Shack was fantastic for our family trip to Nosara. The beach is super close, and the town is very cute. We were right in the middle of it all. Monkeys in the mango trees on the property in the morning, and iguanas roaming all day. The food, the staff, and the hotel itself were all 5 stars! We would love to return to Nosara, and would not stay anywhere else. Thank you Sunset Shack!"

The staff did an amazing job at cleaning it and keeping it fresh. the entirety of the gilded iguana staff was kind and helpful. the breakfast was delicious and there was a variety of good eat options. the whole resort was well air conditioned and we never felt hot for a second while in our room. "I love to stay at this hotel when I need, for work or leisure, it is well kept and comfortable. The staff is amazing & restaurant on site Le Estelle is very good. Five star service for the staff and full of details in their large bedrooms, which also have an outdoor area. The pool is a big plus. Very competitive pricing for Nosara. "

"Great overall just one really inconvenient thing was that for our 3 night stay we had to change room every single day which was a hassle and forced us to be at the property to do the moving every day at 1pm when we could have been at the beach or in town. "

"Extremely secure and secluded. Villa to villa distance is quite far and we could not see or hear anyone else. Grounds are very large, beach is pretty much private but you should know it’s a bit of a walk from some of the villas around to the restaurant and beach. Private pool was very nice and overall good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and very easy to communicate with, 10/10 for the staff! "
