"The room was as expected for the price we paid. Towels and bedding were good. A lovely view of the lake from our window. We were only there one night and just to sleep, so can't comment on other facilities."

"Staff were courteous and super helpful and efficient. The Indian restaurant was superb. The hotel cleanliness left a bit to be desired in terms of the exterior which wasn’t swept, with cigarette butts all around and rubbish not picked up. I changed rooms because the one I was given was not clean. It could be so nice with just a few details taken care of."

"Stayed two nights for work. The chair in the room might as well have been a concrete block, which when you're working away isn't a nice way to sit and relax in the evening. The taps in the sink and shower were stiff and almost uncontrollable for flow and temperature. The carpet was dirty and very tired, the towels were like sandpaper, and there were only two sockets, one of which was so loose it would certainly not pass a decent electrical inspection. To top it all off the staff on reception that I spoke were both pretty miserable and unhelpful, and wouldn't give me a VAT invoice for my stay. They said it was because I booked through Hotels.com, but every other hotel I've stayed at have been able to. I'm away a minimum of 100 nights a year too, so I know hotels! The room was cheap, but even then, it wasn't good value for money. I certainly won't stay again! Plenty of better places in the area for similar prices. Avoid this one if you can!"

"The staff were very accommodating even when we were early, they managed to sort out a spotless room with 3 double beds, and was lovely and spacious. The downside is the expensive parking £24 for 2 days. Not sure why it's not free. It's on a retail park."

"Love staying here when we visit the UK - its close to our family and friends and you get a real small village feel. Staff at the hotel are great and the breakfast is fantastic. Definitely prefer this to the any of the big name hotel chains so would absolutely recommend to anyone."

"A soulless hotel, a cold room at the bottom of the corridor with a freezing cold draft coming under the doorway where I had to use towels to stop the draught. Breakfast - scrambled egg overcooked or should I microwaved. Just very poor for the price of a room. Only positive friendly staff."

"I had a fantastic stay at the Glass House retreat - the team were amazing! Friendly, supportive, and attentive, they made sure I felt right at home. My room was a treat: clean, bright, and airy, with a fabulous rainforest shower and super comfy bed. And wow, the food! Every dish was delicious, I wanted to take the chef home with me! There were loads of activities to keep me busy, and I left feeling refreshed and recharged."
