The food and Onsen are the best, I am very happy with that. However, the room is not clean, you can see dirts on the wall or on the ground. The staff were able accommodate a new room for us (much better, still not the best). I assume the room has been cleaned and those are wear and tears. But for a hotel in this price range it shouldn’t be like this. Please consider renovate the room to keep the customer.

We had stayed here about 5 years ago. Best thing is the small number of rooms so there are no crowds. Great location close to Jigokudani and shopping/dining street. Somewhat older property but kept in nice condition. Loved the private open-air onsen in our room overlooking a stream. Excellent service.

Great food …. but

Reception staff was unfriendly and not very welcoming during check-in and subsequent enquiries. Restaurant staff on the other hand were very friendly. Food was fantastic. Hotel is dated and some of the room furnishings reflect that. The Onsen experience was reasonable. The hotel was quiet and not swamped with lots of noisy tourists.

Amazing food and hot spring

Amazing stay! Wonderful food, service and overall wonderful traditional Japanese hot spring experience. Hotel shuttle is also super continent, highly recommended!

Very nice hotel. A little dated but nice. We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons which was nice but very few electrical outlets. Not a big deal. The private onsen we had was very tiny so we opted for the public one which was great! So unless you’re shy, forego the private onsen in your room. Dinner was a kaiseki ryori (Japanese multi course dinner) which was beautiful, just not my favorite… breakfast was a combination of a Japanese course with buffet. Hotel is very close to the park and shops. I read a recent review online complaining about lack of a/c… there is a/c, works very well it is not obvious but it’s a dial with off, low, med, high. The reviewer should have used google translate ( the off did translate to cut).

We were a group of friends that wanted a little getaway from the city of Sapporo to the onsen capital of Hokkaido in Noribetsu. We enjoyed our stay at the ryokan. The dining experience felt a little rushed at times but i understand we were a bigger group so there were some time constraints. The staff were wonderful and always ready to help. Overall, a relaxing time to enjoy the hot springs.

The cuisine was outstanding as was the view. The only slight would be the private onsen on our balcony was wooden and had a very slimy feel to our feet upon getting in.

It was a comfortable rest in Ryotei Hanayura. Nice and kind serivce, warm and comfortable bed, and fine kaiseki dinner course. Near the hotel are there various souviner shops and small restaurants. Onsen was wonderful and the bath was clean

The room was very clean and tidy with different snacks provided each day; private hot spring in the room with nice view was very enjoyable; staffs were friendly, helpful, detailed-minded with exceptional hospitality; the food were freshly made and taste absolutely delicious. The ryokan is overall stunning. The room we stayed in had a private onsen bath. It was absolutely amazing to be able to wake up and use the bath in the luxury of your own room. The dinner was absolutely amazing, an extravagant Japanese Kaiseki dinner. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Hotel was beautiful. Dinner and breakfast was superb. I just wish hotel sent some information about how to check in and how to get to airport from the hotel. I found out all the transportation out of Noboribetsu needed to be booked in advance when we got there. We panicked when we found out everything was booked. My husband ran to the bus station and was able to book the bus
