Disliked: Room comfort
The owner is very friendlly, but I have to say the room is disappointing. It's quite big but the walls are half-finished and you can see the cement. The room felt damp. The ceiling is as high as the second floor and makes you feel like you are sleeping in a factory...I feel little gloomy sothat I slept with lite on.
the location is near the shopping area with many restaurant. The hostel is value for money and parking fee is 500 for one night. The breakfast include toast and drink very simple.
We stayed in quite a large room but it was pretty basic and half finished as one of the walls was just cement. The owners of the property lives upstairs and you could hear the children running around. The room felt and smelled damp. The bed was a large double but the mattress and pillows were too soft which made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. The two toilets were clean as were the two showers, one for women and one for men. The breakfast which was included in the price was very disappointing. We had three choices and chose a boiled egg with a piece of bread buttered. The young man who ran the hostel seemed a bit disorganised and as he was unable to find any tea for our breakfast (only coffee) we had to use our own teabags. There was a football match, Japan v Australia, on so we watched it on the huge screen with some lively and friendly Japanese. The entrance to the hostel is on a shopping mall, so we had to park our car in a nearby public car park and paid 500 yen to the hostel. This hostel was poor value compared to other accommodation we have stayed in Japan over the last month.
