Great place to stay. Staff were so nice and friendly and the rooms motel backs on to the lake so great location. We look forward to staying there again.

The couple at reception were friendly and welcoming; we booked the garden view room but they upgraded us to the waterfront view room free of charge. The rooms were a bit outdated but were clean and comfortable. The property was close to other convenient amentities such as cafes and shops, and there was parking on-side. Would stay there again.

The location next to the lake is fantastic with beautiful views and a little jetty out the back for a spot of fishing, but it's also next to the main road which makes it fairly noisy during rush hour. Service was very friendly and accommodating, but the room is very dated (originally from the 1970s probably) with a few random features modernised, most probably because they had to be. Bed was old and well worn and not that comfortable, but it was okay for one night.

The location is excellent. It is absolute waterfront and in easy walking distance of pubs, clubs, restaurants and shopping. There are some lovely walks you can do and the staff were very welcoming and excellent in their suggestions of places to go and see in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely location with water views. Close to shops, hotel and newly refurbished RSL. Microwave in room and bar b q to borrow. Very congenial hosts. Really enjoyed our stay. Swansea is a very friendly town with all amenities. We couldn’t have done better. Thanks to all.

Very noisy off the main highway bed was uncomfortable and I don’t believe the sheets had been changed . Old fan and air con need replacing but cleaning them would be a start .

Old but clean

Lovely people but the motel was very old but clean. The bed cover could do with a wash. The room was quite cramped, but the bed was comfortable. No wifi which is unusual these days.

On the Edge of the Lake

This is a budget motel, but is extremely clean and has everything you need for a short stay. It is on the edge of the Lake and the owners have been thoughtful to put tables and seating out there. The motel itself is quite old, but does have all the amenities that more upmarket motels/hotels offer. This was my second stay here, will stay again and would definitely recommend.

Nice waterfront hotel close to Lake Macquarie, shops pubs and beaches. Slightly old-fashioned, with a comfortable bed, tea and coffee facilities, bar fridge and microwave.

I liked this motel ...not as modern as some , but very clean, on the river and a short walk to the club, pub and shops..friendly hosts..I will be back
