The staff was hospitable and the location is great. But, the men's bathrooms, at least in the floor we were in, had no hot water and maintenance/cleanliness issues, particularly at night. The bunk bed was noisy and the mattresses were not very good.

the room was perfect for the night and maybe a few i probably wouldn’t recommend for multiple people for over a week just cause the rooms were very small, a lot of the bathrooms were crossed and not flushed or cleaned properly so i do wish those were cleaned a little more often/ even checked, but the location was perfect walking distance to just about everything and i would stay here again!

Everything was excellent The customer service the cleanliness the location and everything except when I checked in they told me that I have to pay extra money for property fees I paid them but I don’t know why should I pay as long as It was supposed that I paid everything in advance through the app Other wise again the staff the service the cleanliness the safety and any other thing were perfect

Great location, safe, clean, helpful staff. We didn't use the gym, but took a peek, and that looked very nice, as were the locker rooms. Our room was fine--clean, fresh bed linens and towels, but we did see a huge roach scurry into another guest room. Bathroom was the biggest issue: clean, but there was a constant puddle of water on the floor between the showers and sinks where the floor wasn't draining properly. Even with shoes on--and I would absolutely not step foot in there without shoes on--it felt pretty gross. Would have also been nice to have more hooks available or somewhere to put your stuff while you shower. That said, the price was amazing, and I would probably stay there again.

The rooms are basic, but there is a great pool on the 3rd floor to swum (bring a swimming gap, goggles and a speedo style swimsuit) from 7am to 8pm (in the summer), and a big gym on the 4th floor, so the budget get you very far in terms of facilities. If it was the rooms only, I’d probably not stay here, but with the facilities and location it is worth the stay.

Only positive is the location, which is amazing. However, the room was awful. There were cockroaches and bedbugs. The bathrooms were filthy. There was no hot water. The bathroom on my floor was out of commission for most of one day.

You can't beat the location and price. If you don't need a fancy place and are OK with shared bathrooms, I think this is a perfect spot. The gym is also a great bonus. Visiting NYC, I'm not there for the hotel. It's just to sleep and shower and I think this is a great option. Central Park West also is an ideal location. Next to transit, Columbus Circle and Lincoln Center. 2-3 stops from most of the shows too. I'm likely to stay here every time I visit solo.

Convenient not far from Central Park. We arrived at about 1:00 am and had been traveling since 7:00 am the prior morning (18 hours) so we were very tired. The desk clerk wasn’t there and we were told he was on a five-minute break. However he didn’t return until nearly 2:00 am. The room had a set of bunk beds, a beaten up desk missing the drawer and a tv that didn’t work. The restroom was a shared room for the entire floor and had shower stalls as well. The floor was flooded with water that we could only hope was from the showers and not the actual toilets. I would not recommend this place for anyone with children as it was very dirty. If you’re just looking for a place to get a few hours sleep the price is right but for nothing more. I highly doubt I will stay here again. Fortunately we were only there for one night just for six-hours before catching our cruise which was about two miles walking distance, that was convenient.

The rooms are fine. There could definitely be more restrooms. Restroom locks can be tricky. Most staff were great. One housekeeper was yelling at me and very rude for no reason. Location is wonderful on the upper westside.

This is an amazing YMCA. It’s located next to everything and especially if you’re on a single trip this is where you wanna stay and see the city. Between this and public transit, New York has Affordable. Spend the money on something else not room and Ubers
