After 24 hours of driving for our vacation of a lifetime, we were exhausted. My gf wanted to shower and I laid down to sleep. I didn’t even have my eyes closed for 5 minutes before she was asking me to come check because the water wasn’t getting warm. She was right. No hot water. It wasn’t even like warm. Called the engineer up, he gave some long story about how boiler systems work and that they aren’t having an issue anywhere else but our room and we just needed to let the water run to make it hot. I called Marriott Bonvoy and that kicked them into gear they then finally offered a new room and asked us to pack up. We packed and vacated the old room, just to have to sit in the hallway and wait for almost an hour because they deactivated our key cards and you need them to use the elevator. Nice hotel from the outside looking in, awful first hand experience. Fire alarms going off constantly and the alarms manually shut off without properly checking for a fire. Rude staff, had issues having key cards activated.
