"This hotel was absolutely ideal for my stay in Istanbul. Although it was in a quiet back lane, it was just a short walk to the main tourist attractions, as well as to the tram and metro links to the rest of the city. It did help to have Google Maps on my phone for finding things (including getting back to the hotel), as the entire area is something of a maze.

"Positive: if I could give a 7 star, I would for the staff. They were just genuinely pleasant and helpful. There's a lift so no need to lug your suitcase. You walk out of the hotel and the tram #1 is right there if you need public transport. We only used it a couple of times though e.g. to get to Dolmabachi Palace as you are only 5-10min walk away from all the major sights. "A good clean place to put your head down for the night. AC works well. Small rooms but typical of all hotels in the area. Food and shopping around the area is expensive but again that’s due to closeness to the sights. Tram stop 2 mins walk away - easy access to Galata side also.
Metro also 4 mins away to transfer to Anatolian side. "
