Perfect spot in Nantes
The rooms are extremely stylishly decorated, with great air con and excellent use of space in the bathrooms, etc. The bed is very comfy and the staff were excellent both at check in, and when we had to arrange an airport taxi early in the morning. Great location for Nantes' old town, with its wonderful range of bars and restaurants. Would definitely come back

What a wonderful hotel. It was clean and pretty, in a gorgeous location. I had a great view of the chateau. The people at the reception desk were so nice as well. It was also very nice to have air conditioning!

Perfect location Independent and stylish Very warm welcome Good breakfast If I were to offer one small suggestion, it would be to have some background music in breakfast area as it was sort of quietness that stifled peoples ability to talk to each other. Always a pleasant experience at L’Hōtel !
A 2nd visit for me ... and always a pleasant experience. The front desk was very accommodating in allowing a room change! .. I would recommend this hotel to all. Nantes is a very charming city and interesting landscape and culture.

The hotel was very quiet and very well located. Staff was nice and they have a parking for 15€ the night. The room didnt have a small fridge but it had a Nespresso coffee machine.

The hotel itself is nice and served its purpose, which was a place to sleep and shower, while we were commuting to Hellfest in Clisson each day. Pros 1) comfy bed 2) nice and friendly staff 3) very close to the train station 4) walking distance to lots of places 5) nice view from our window of the chateau across the street 6) very clean 7) decent size for rooms in Europe Cons 1) the room we were in is a dead zone to wifi. If we stand in the bathroom area, we get a low signal and that was it. We asked and we were told that they did have wifi but some spots dont work. 2) the ac is our room did not work. We set it to 16 celsius and it ran for 2 minutes and stopped. We asked the staff and she was nice enough to come up and check it out. She got it to work for 2 mins and it stopped. We slept with the windows open and our small battery-operated. 3) the area where the toilet is located is essentially a water closet, definitely small and if you're a bigger person, it can feel claustrophobic 4) the standing shower splashed a lot because the door swings in and out so there's a gap between the bottom of the door and the tub. 5) there are no bureaus or drawers in the room. I didnt mind it because I usually live out of my suitcase but my fiancee prefers to unpack.

No Shuttle!
I booked this hotel because of the airport shuttle amenity. The hotel DOES NOT have a shuttle. You have to take a city bus and figure out where to get off, etc. Not major, but we were not prepared for that so it was a little tricky since hardly anyone speaks english there. We don't speak french but heard most people take english in school here so thought we'd be okay. Once we got to the hotel it was fine. The hotel clerk spoke enough english to check us in and was very nice. For the room: I am quite tall (6 feet) so it was difficult to sit on the toilet since there was little leg room. If you are very tall ask for a toilet with more leg room? No A/C but a great breeze came through the windows and we woke to the sound of birds singing in french. Very nice. Very short walk to the train station where they also don't speak english fyi. :)

Great location right beside the chateau, convenient to walk into the centre and yet quiet and easy to get to by car. Parking is limited but they do advise you in advance to book, which I didn't but thankfully they managed to get us a space. The rooms are large and well kept, a little quirky with the décor but not over the top and I really liked the bit of personality somewhat lacking in other hotels of this standard. Breakfast was continental and good quality ingredients used.

Short and sweet stay
We had a pleasant stay. We had to leave by 3:45am to catch our plane at the airport. The front desk staff were nice and arranged a taxi to bring us (about a 15 minute ride = 45 Euro). The hotel was clean and staff were nice and helpful.

Perfect for my wants, quick overnight without car
I needed a place to sleep overnight, passing through Nantes without car. Easy access... apart from a flight of steps to cross train tracks... to/ from bus shuttle to airport (25 min, 9 Euro). Very near centre of town, even closer to touristically interesting castle and it's quarter. Helpful staff. "Daring", but not "obnoxious (to me!) weird" ELEGANT modern decor. First rate state of repair, etc.

5 star attention in 3 star hotel.
Obliged by travel plans to overnight in Nantes, we found this offered in hotels.com. Convenient location for train/ tram/ bus. Parking is available but limited, otherwise leave you luggage and park at the Cathedral lot (500m). Character building, well cared for reception (24 hours) and breakfast room on ground floor. Bedrooms on upper floors with lift access. Clean, calm and comfortable; good beds/ linen; air conditioning; good shower/ bath ensuite. Careful, professional welcome and excellent value for city centre. Breakfast looked good, but we had other plans.

On a Sunday morning, breakfast was supposed to be over by 10:30. I walked past the dining area at 10:45 a.m., thinking about heading out for brunch, but the staff said I was welcomed eat breakfast there. I was very thankful. They didn’t have to do that.

Well located, cosy!
Rooms are small, even by Nantes standards with the bath/ shower basically beside the bed. Toilet is behind a door at least, but again very small. Hotel is clean and well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is available on site if reserved in advance, but again, is small, so you might be better using the Cathedral parking just down the street. WiFi was a bit patchy.

Small rooms but great value and location.
I had no idea what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. L'hotel is located right next to the Chateau and an easy walk to the centre. It's around 2 mins walk to the Duchesse tram stop. Tram tickets are super cheap - a couple of euros for 60 minutes ride. I walked to Les Machines de l'Ile in about 20 minutes or so. The room was very small but had a nice view across the Nantes rooftops. It was absolutely fine for one person, and would be for two people who are very cosy. With two, there would be very little space for luggage. There is no separate ensuite - that is, the bath/shower/sink was right next to the bed, just an archway. You could totally see into the shower from almost any angle in the room! So I would not recommend this room for sharing with anyone other than a romantic partner :) That said, the bed was very comfortable, there was a small desk, the wifi was perfectly good, and there was a nice view. I felt overall it was excellent value. Breakfast was very pleasant - 12 euros per person. A small selection of cereals, coffee, orange juice, yoghurt, fruit salad, fresh fruit, pastries and bread. Scrambled eggs and tiny chipolatas were also available. It's a very small area so there's no 'buffet', but nonetheless I found it cosy and everyone was very friendly. The staff were great - welcoming and friendly at all hours. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully I'll be back next year!

Good location, Extremely Rude Satff!
The location was beyond fantastic! Unfortunately the staff was beyond rude! They acted like they were doing you a huge favor and were beyond annoyed that you were in there. Nowhere said you must book a parking spot at least 2 months ahead as they only have 7 spots. The streets were closed because of constructions on the area and they didn't care how you get your luggages in there. In the morning I asked for a bag of ice to put in our cooler as we were doing a road trip through France, the staff said not now, later. I speak French, I kept saying I prefer now please, he was no. Had to wait 35 minutes to get a small bag of ice. Between the check in with the most rude lady we have ever encountered in France and this guy, makes this place a horrible place to be. The room was super small but had most of the things you need. Wish had a Nespresso in the room or at least a water machine for tea.

Located a 10 minute walk from the TGV station in the quaint downtown area across the street from the Château de ducs de Bretagne and a two minute walk to the cathedral and the old city gate. It's a nicely kept older structure with an odd floor plan to the rooms with a colorful decor.
