The location was great, with an easy walk to the beach and nearby restaurants. The staff were especially lovely and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. My only criticism is that it doesn’t have a true shower. Staff were so polite and accommodating ….we loved the place. Shout out to Lucia who checked us in made us feel so welcome. "As expected for the price. Everything worked: aircondition, breakfast, shower and so on. Good with close location to the beach. The bed seemed ok, but I prefer a bit more softer/cushioning bed. There were some roadworks being done in the street, so not easy to pass with a suitcase and would be impossible with a car. Nothing that the hotel can do with that."

"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "
