"Our stay at the Swissôtel Quito was a study in contrasts. While the "hardware"—rooms, breakfast, and security—is objectively excellent, operational shortcomings regarding spa management and a lack of concierge transparency impacted the overall value. Highlights: The rooms are superior, featuring high-end beds, a pillow menu, and soft towels. Room service was precise, and the breakfast buffet—with fresh waffles and churros—is a standout. We appreciated the 4:00 AM "grab-and-go" breakfast and the security team personally escorting us to our car for our airport run. The area is very safe, with a convenient supermarket nearby. Areas for Improvement: The indoor pool was consistently occupied by outside fitness classes, making it unavailable for guest leisure. Being redirected to a cold outdoor pool is inconsistent with five-star standards. Furthermore, the concierge lacked professionalism; car prices to the center fluctuated daily with arbitrary excuses. When we provided calm feedback, the reception's response was dismissive. Local recommendations also felt "outsourced" to a quick search engine rather than expert knowledge. Verdict: Fantastic comfort and location, but the third-party prioritization of the spa and the dismissive service at the front desk prevent this from being a truly premium experience."

"DO NOT STAY HERE unless you want to possibly lose your money..This hotel could not accommodate not poisoning me and due to my severe medical condition, which they knew of, I had to sleep on the balcony. I could not afford another room and had already rented this one for several days..To get them to hold my things for my cotopaxi trip, Not only did I leave a day early due to the toxic conditions and they got an extra $24 out of me, I paid them $10 and told them I would return in 7 days.I only reserved a room on the 8th Because I needed them to hold my baggage, which they still charged me for... I had a heart attack climbing the volcano and the doctor in Lasso instructed me that I cannot go back to that hotel as it is highly poisonous And it will surely trigger another cardiac episode.. Not the main part of the hotel , but all of the rooms.. Upon speaking to the owner of the hotel, they refused to refund my money for the last day. They care not for my health or the fact that I may have to sleep on the street here Because i'm in a foreign country with no more funds, and i've paid my money to them.. For a $24 a night room, adding $16 of protection, which would have done nothing for me....just didn't make any sense. I do not by any means Recommend this hotel.I suggest you stay far far away from it. Trying to manage my money on this trip.With this hotel being my destination was a complete nightmare. The hotel know i had a heart attack and does not care."

"1 star for the front desk guy who was amazing and super friendly.. 0 stars for the noise level(howling and barking dogs all day and night), highly scented interior that's causing my illness to flare up, no hot water in the shower for the last 2 days and nights... when the hot water did work it went to scalding randomly. Extremely dangerous. People were watching porn very loud... some guy was on the patio talking on the phone with the speakerphone on. Overall I'm leaving for another hotel. I need some sort of peace and this place isn't it. Not by a long shot. Thank you to the guy at the desk. Even as I write this review, the dogs are incessantly barking. I have to put rain sounds on my phone at max volume EVERY night. Just a headache and not able to relax. Highly disappointed. I won't be back. I do not recommend. "
