"When we arrived at out suite all the windows were open, which was odd as it was 27 degrees outside. The unit would only warm to 64 degrees so the front desk attendant brought us a space heater which did help. As the windows were closed a horrible odor began to appear. I went to the front desk the next morning and told them about the odor (which obviously they knew since the windows were up when we arrived), it had to be coming from the septic system. I was told there were no other rooms to switch to and was not offered any type of compensation but they said they would send maintenance. We were out for the day and upon arrival the odor was even stronger. I went back to the front desk and they some how did have an available room. They said it was an "upgrade" but the bathroom felt like is was added onto a back porch. I know things happen but would have been nice for the "family owned" resort to give some type of compensation for the stay. No one wants to vacation in a room that smells like a sewer. Would definitely not go back."
"The location is spectacular. The staff was friendly. There are no phones in the rooms and no cell service. We did have WiFi. About 2 bars. You have to walk up to the restaurant for ice. The first room has somebody’s ski gear piled in front of the door and none of the outlets in the room worked. They moved us to a different room. Everything worked however the light switch was missing the cover plate."
"Overall there is no issue with our stay. Service is generally good. Room availability is poor and price is high which is understandable for being inside of a national park."
"There is not enough food choices. The food offered is very expensive. Because of the age of the Inn, the heating is difficult to regulate. More food venues to be offered."
"I always wondered why in the old computer game Oregan Trail one of the things you could die from was dysentery, now I know! Thanks for bringing back every part of wagon life that was truly F****ing treble. At least with the additional of some modern amenities like "restrooms and shower" I have now once again found myself wanting to wash in the river and sh*t in the woods rather than using the provided amenities. I would rather rent a port-a-potty that set on a hot sun on construction site in Las Vegas that was used, dirty and had a dead hooker in it to sleep in instead of one of these wagons. Happy Trails and DO NOT STAY HERE!"
"A great little cabin right next to Jackson lake. Easy walking distance to the lake, small store, and trails. My only issue was the heater in the cabin sounds like a dryer all night so the first nights sleep wasn't easy. I recommend bringing out the blankets and opening windows instead of relying on that."
"Great stay, but there were quite a few spiders and there were large piles of animal waste in front of our cabin that I felt should have been cleaned up."
