Fantastic room with excellent view. We got the family suite with big bed. Great location with walking distance to everything. Bruno in reception was very helpfull with booking of wine tour, restaurant and tourist information.
Location was excelente and Hostess was great . she did all the booking for VIP transportation, restaurants , vine yards and cooking classes
Thank You Valentina
Absolutely stunning 1600s building. Beautifully decorated with art and seating. The staff was extremely helpful in all aspects. Great restaurants and an outdoor Cafe serving drinks and pizza just a few steps away. A must stay!
The first thing I will say is just how amazing the staff here was; I booked the last room at a good rate, and although it was not one of the super fancy suites, it was still a great stay and the staff really made that happen. One of the days, I went to breakfast and was overcome by not feeling well. I apologized and had to leave the breakfast room. They so kindly packed me food and tea on a tray and brought it to my room for me to eat later when I felt better.
I loved how central this location was and I was so happy to have stayed here. I would 100% stay again. Also, there was great hot water and shower pressure.
The only downside was the internet; they had a tech fixing things while I was there, and to be honest, it wasn't a big deal to me personally as I had data, but a few other guests made a comment at breakfast, but I know it was an issue the hotel actively had someone in for. So I believe this would be a timing thing and ordinarily I'm sure it's fine.
Would 100% stay here again!!
Located at top of Montepulciano. For guests that want to experience the town, this inn offers excellent proximity. Guests need to know that parking is limited. If nearby lot is filled up, their car may need to be parked farther away from town that are downhill form the property.
Amazing! in all aspects. Valentina could not have been friendlier or more helpful. You felt like you were staying with family or friends in their private home.
We had a great experience at Palazzo Nobile di San Donato. The location is great, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is lovely! Our room was very comfortable, with original decor exactly as in the picture! I recommend it.
This B&B is a step back into the 1800s—in the best way. The rooms are dressed in rich fabrics, antique frames, and warm patterns. Our window opened to a rolling-valley view straight out of a postcard, but the true charm lives with the people: Valentina and Natasha.
From the moment we arrived, Valentina and Natasha cared for us like two favorite aunts abroad—always nearby to answer questions, share local tips, and send us out each morning with a delicious home-cooked breakfast. We visited five cities on this trip, and our brief time in Montepulciano stood out because we didn’t feel like tourists here—we felt like welcome guests in a beautiful home.
A wonderful experience all around! We loved our stay from the moment we arrived. Valentina welcomed us warmly and made us a reservation at an incredible local restaurant. Our room (suite) felt like stepping back in time, furnished with antiques and full of charm. Very clean and comfortable. We were served a delicious breakfast with all kinds of yummy choices and heavenly coffee.

We are assigned to the room right off the street. The staff told us that is the oldest part of the building, we didn’t even have a chance to get into the main part of the building to experience the old castle setting. The room we stayed didn’t have the cups for brushing teeth. But the breakfast service is excellent.
We were in “The Blue Room”. There is only air conditioning in the bedroom. For warmer days this makes using the other rooms (sitting area, bathroom, shower) unbearable. The shower didn’t have a spot to set your soap, shampoo, etc.
Other than that, it was perfect. We loved the historic building and the staff who assisted us, Valentina and Yvonna (sp?) were incredibly nice and helpful. Great location for visiting all the fun things to do and see in Montepulciano.
An absolute gem in every way imaginable! TLDR: If you are looking for authentic, yet elegant accommodations in a prime location with a staff that makes you feel like family, this is the place.
We visited Montepulciano to visit my son (traveling for a semester abroad).
The staff was attentive and helpful before we even arrived, ensuring we could get our baggage to the hotel and our rental car parked close by (the hotel, along with most of the city, is in the ZTL).
When we finally arrived, we were treated with kindness and patience (my son surprised us & bolted in the door, and they were incredibly gracious while we had our little reunion).
Our suite was on the top floor, so it was a bit of a hike up multiple flights of stairs. But we were prepared for that (especially given the historical nature of the building), and we quickly grew accustomed to it. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, and the view from the windows-- breathtaking. Many visitors ventured to the overlook beneath our windows to take pictures (even a couple taking wedding photos-- it's that picturesque).
But our very favorite part of our stay was the daily breakfast. The staff was incredible. The food was incredible-- simple, but top-quality and always perfectly executed. It was unexpected, but a comfort we came to treasure and look forward to each day.
The hotel was also very well-kept, overall. Clean, elegant, and charming.
We will definitely stay again. Grazie mille, alla prossima!
This was a lovely hotel in a wonderful town in Tuscany. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and we loved our stay here. Monepulciano has lots of things to see and great restaurants. It's an impoartnt wine centre and the wine they make here is exceptional
