Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views and a great location. Quality of service has declined over the years. The fire alarm went off at 4 am and there were no staff members around to direct us at all. We were eventually told to go back to our rooms, woken up and sent outside again 15 minutes later and then told to return by the fire department. There was a lot of confusion. The hot tub in the spa area was not hot at all. We had a comfortable stay overall but it’s clear that the hotel is not what it used to be.

The Quintessence well lived up to its name! My family has been fortunate enough to stay in hotels world-wide, but this shall always be a favorite! We highly recommend this beautiful property and its wonderful staff.

This was a gorgeous property, close to the village without being in it, which I prefer. Service and staff were outstanding. Even though it was a quiet week, I didn't get the sense that they cut back on amenities and service. The on-site restaurant was excellent. Loved our lake view of the room.

The staff was really great, especially the valets and people at the bar were very kind and friendly. The welcome chocolates were nice. The room was very large with a pretty sitting area and fireplace. Showers were nice. robes were really fluffy. Beds were very comfortable and linens were exceptionally soft. The food was great; we ate here three times. Close to the mountain and ski area with lots of hiking paths near by. Nespresso coffee pods and real half and half was nice. The spa and gym were nice with hot tub overlooking the infinity pool and lake and sauna. The duvet smelled a bit like cleaning material (maybe recently laundered) but it was not a big problem. It would have been great if they had an arborist trim the trees. We paid for a lakeview room, but the trees were so thick you only got peekaboo views of the lake. I would have loved a few additional amenities like bikes to use, kayaks or paddleboards.

Absolute perfection

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a couple of weeks touring around Quebec. The hotel is stunning. The setting is beautiful. The staff were so welcoming and so friendly. The room was huge and so well equipped. Having a wood burning fire in a hotel room was such a treat. And sitting in a hot tub looking out at the frozen lake and snowy mountains was fab. Dined in the restaurant on our second night. Our server was lovely. The food was delicious - have the prime rib, you won’t regret it. Basically, it was so perfect, we didn’t want to leave and we will absolutely go back one day.
