"Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was excellent, right in the heart of the shopping and gourmet district, making it very convenient to explore the area. While it is not exactly next to Gion, it is still within a comfortable walking distance. The room was extremely comfortable, clean, and spacious enough for two people even with our large luggage. What stood out most was the excellent service from the hotel staff. Everyone was warm, friendly, and very helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel truly welcomed. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. In fact, I have already booked another family trip and will be staying at Cross Hotel again this December. Looking forward to returning!"

"All very clean and posh. The facilities don’t keep up when the hotel is full, expect to wait for breakfast which itself is good and fresh. Neither the pool/spa nor onsen allow tattoos so unexpectedly we couldn’t use either. Restaurant is expensive and mediocre (à la carte lunch). Hotel garden is great, staff are amazing."

"The room was beautiful, well appointed and very clean. The restaurant staff were wonderful and very attentive. My only comment would be that the front desk staff felt a little indifferent at times. All in all we really enjoyed our stay."

"Hotel was in a fabulous location walking distance to everything within reason all very close to subway stations. Super friendly. There was a Starbucks 7-Eleven and Tully‘s coffee place right underneath."

"I was very disappointed staying here. The room was beautiful and clean, but lacked wardrobe space allowing for only a few things to be hung which was not good for our length of stay and very different to all our Japan hotel stays. While they had complimentary drinks at happy hour in the bar this was incredibly limited and didn’t have any beer. In the mini bar which was free for us, they had beer but no wine. We stopped for drinks outside of happy hour and had to walk away.. charging 3700 for a glass while all our other premium wine selections in 5 star hotels had been around 1500-2000 was crazy. The price for breakfast was also the most expensive of our Japan stays and not worth it, we were disappointed by the quality and limited choice for the price. Again, our 5 star hotel stays had excellent buffet breakfasts for much cheaper. The location is far from the Center, although a lovely walk up the river which we enjoyed. The staff did their best to be helpful, but I feel the hotel policies hold them back in providing a better experience. "

"Stayed at the Blossom for five nights. Great location. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Especially enjoyed the amenities (onsen, laundry facilities, and coffee/tea available in the basement lounge) "

"This is the perfect location for a good price in Kyoto. It seems to be a recent construction, as the materials and finishes look modern and new. We were not looking for extensive amenities such as gym, shops, etc. We stayed for 7 nights in order to carry out daily trips from Kyoto while still enjoying the city during late afternoons. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of traditional and non-traditional foods served from 6:30am, which was a plus to start early our days. The rooms extremely quiet, clean, and the rooms big for Japan standards. The bathroom was even larger than expected. The shower is a separate room with an integrated tub which was a good surprise. The 7-eleven connected to the hotel is super convenient for late snacking. So we were extremely satisfied as it is so close that made everything so convenient. Highly recommend if this is what you are looking for!"
