"The hotel was lovely, it reminded us of a national trust property and the stained glass and the views over the coastline were amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room had a four poster bed in an actual turret and beautiful views of the coast out of both large windows. The breakfast had buffet options and the food itself was very good quality. Highly recommended."

It's a shame they don't do evening meals but there are plenty of options in Barmouth centre just 10 minutes walk away though you will have an uphill walk back. Really enjoyed my stay. "

"Everything was just perfect. Smooth checkin, the staff were really welcoming and approachable. The room was spotless, spacious, the layout was well thought out and the bed was very comfortable. It was great to have a proper big bed instead of two put together as some hotels do! Really handy to have a little kitchen area, especially the fridge. "Yr Hen Farcdy is wonderful accommodation in a beautiful setting, close to Snowdonia and all the special areas of north Wales. The rooms are comfortable, attractive and private, and the hosts Mike and Sue could not be more hepful. The breakfasts are delicious with a great range of options. We loved our 6 nights there and highly recommend it as a base fir exploring the region, or a spot for just chilling out."
