"We are visiting from Australia and this place is absolutely awesome! Amazing location yet within walking distance to pubs / restaurants and town centre. Incredibly quiet being in a country setting and lots of opportunities for walks by the river. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we were able to have breakfast outside in the lovely garden. We felt well looked after. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel staff were very nice, the room was large and comfortable. My only complaint is the air conditioning was blasting and it was pretty chilly outside. When I asked to have the heat put on, it was for a few hours then went back to cold. My room on the ground floor look directly to the street so if you want to open your curtains, i recommend you ask for a room upstairs. "
"Such a lovely hotel. Our room was pretty worn looking but clean. To make it a really top stay I'd say some updating of rooms in necessary but we loved our time there. GREAT food and fabulous staff and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. Really worth being based here to travel to Oxford and surrounding areas. "

Located a bit away from the city centre, the hotel's deco, ambience and service were comparable to a 5-star hotel.
