The restaurant and garden are nice and the service was good. Good selection on the menu, including vegetarian and vegan. The food was very good. Unfortunately the accommodation is extremely tired and is in desperate need of updating / painting. I have been generous with 3 stars as we ate in the restaurant both in the evening and morning. If you are looking for a place to eat which is dog friendly this is perfect.

Really keen staff and good value accommodation.

I stayed one night. All interactions with staff were good, they seemed keen to try to do the best they could. I may have been lucky with my room but everything worked OK and it was in a quiet location which I really liked. The bar was fine, evening meal good and breakfast too. For what I paid I would say it was good value and very rare that I visit a hotel without a problem so thank you to the staff at the Dog House!

Wonderful little place. Steve and his team took great care of us. After a long day of sightseeing and driving it was a perfect place to reach before next day in Oxford. The Beer in the garden after check in was most enjoyable.
