The bathroom was grimy and there was no excuse for not providing a single chair in the room. What was the point in providing even the tired dressing/table desk without one?"

"Started off with an extra charge for our dog. £25. This was not stated on Hotels.com. Didn’t really have a choice, not too much of an issue as extra charges are normally standard on other hotels. Oh well. Room was what we expected, bathroom could use a bit of tlc. Mould around the bath. Shower curtain had seen better days. Sink cold water tap could use a tighten up. Storage heater was a bit rusty, could use a rub down. Staff were friendly enough. Pub seemed to be a locals pub and wasn’t what you’d call swinging for a Saturday night. Locale, 30 minutes from Oxford and 40 minutes from The Farmers Dog. Cheap and cheerful. Would I stay here again? Probably not"
