Good stay. Clean and tidy hotel with cool, modern decor. nice helpful staff. On arrival the receptionist helped us with all of our enquiries and upgraded our room. Good location only a 15-20 minute walk from duomo square and plenty of transport links around. Breakfast was good, could have more selection in terms of hot foot but pretty normal in most European countries. Pastries on offer if the hot selection is not for you.

Worst hotel, room filled with bed bugs and on top of that you accuse of stealing a blow dryer? A lawsuit is coming your way. You messed with the wrong guest. My kids suffered for 3 days with bug bites, you are not getting away easy.

The hotel is okay, definitely some rooms are better then others. what stands far best is the service. the front desk Rebecca made us extremely comfortable and did everything she can to make our trip enjoyable. thanks again, they should have more people like her.

Dirty, stinky, torn sheets, cold (at 21:00 room temperature was 13 C), safebox not working, no services. The director told me aggressively that is normal for her to live in a room with a temperature of 13 C … no way to increase temperature due to the inefficiency of the heating. We had to go away at 21:30 in another hotel.

Leaky shower, flooded the whole bathroom. Nothing was done after being notified twice about it. “Trendy” hotel that has lost its touch. Carpets and sofa stained. Yellowing bedsheets. Worst of all, the most apathetic front desk for a supposedly 4 star hotel; not once did any one of them show any enthusiasm to help nor remorse as to how our stay has been. Waste your money elsewhere in Milan.

Nice lobby, okay staff, however, the rooms were in terrible condition. First room I got (which was $350 / night) was extremely dark and faced directly a wall. After asking and dealing with the managers to get a room that didn’t feel like a prison cell we got moved to a room with a better view. However, the bathroom was in quite terrible condition. The paint on the shower wall was peeling and had mold growing in one corner. Baffled that they decided to pain the walls in the shower instead of having tile. Perplexing choice and not super sanitary. The hotel had malin and goetz products in the room but all the single use personal bottles were clearly used before and mostly empty. Very gross. Breakfast was also a little on the sad side. It’s hard to be upset with anything while your in Italy because it’s such an incredible country , but this hotel is a huge disappointment for the price.

Please avoid this place AT ANY COST! I had booked two separate nights with Expedia and then I canceled only one night as we were not going to stay in Milan Saturday to Sunday. I am a gold member and stayed at many properties around the world. I was charged the room price directly with Expedia and it was all confirmed. We got to the property and the person who checked us in took a copy of the passports and then showed us to our room. The room was not ready and the bed for the kids was not made. Ok the bathroom I had discovered toiletries that were half full. The temperature was not measured upon arrival and o did not feel right staying in this room. The front desk person then said there was a problem with our room as we had cancelled and I showed him the reservation with Expedia and that it shows all was good. He then showed us to another smaller room which we also not ready. I then spent 20’ speaking on his own cell phone with a certain Mariana who said that she was informed that the manager did not see the reservation and that they did not work with Expedia since they had reopened. I suggested they speak with Expedia as all was good on my end.The beds were not really comfortable, nor were the pillows. The next day we were told we had to pay again and I said I already had with Expedia. I said it’s unacceptable and then spent one hour calling Expedia who confirmed all was good. Below par sanitation, horrible service and the night before a car was broken into outside the hote

Great hotel but poor service....
Amazing hotel, but very poor breakfast with lots of extras and service staff not doing good job, had to warn constantly ' please bring my coffee, no water on the desks, no plate...' Airconditions were not working and first they have even not offered any other room, next day morning they offered a room where aircondition is working. My worst 5 star hotel experience in my life.. There was even no welcome water in the room...

Position was really good for walking to shopping, sites and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was exceptional. Quite unexpected to have such a unique restaurant within an Hotel and Claudio is a master artisan of cocktails. I love cocktails and have had them all over the world and can honestly say Claudio's are amongst the best if not the best. We highly recommend staying at 50 House Cellini when visiting Milan Italy. Nice staff. Nice to step outdoors due to the outdoor gallery. Loud music until midnight from the social garden. Poor lighting and too few power outlets. Breakfast not so well tended to.

The staff without a doubt are super friendly and very helpful. I love the size of the room it was spacious, the only thing that drove me crazy was the heater I couldn’t manage to turn it off or lower the heat (but I probably would have asked for help to do it which I didn’t) The toiletries are of great standard, better than what I’ve seen in 5 star hotels. The breakfast had a good variation, but the eggs could be better quality. I would stay at this hotel again on my next visit to Milan.

Pro: Good location not the best but good enough. Cons: 1) Hotel is absolutely not in the luxury category. Rooms were not particularly comfortable, hallway has tired carpet, peeling ceiling. See attached photo - what you see as you walk from room to lobby. 2) We eat dinner at Kowa first night, and when check came it had an area to charge to room but Kowa is the restaurant on-site yet for some reason not associated with the hotel. We paid in cash. Kowa also has techno music until 12midnight which you can hear in all the rooms. You won't be able to sleep until the music ends. 3) We stayed 3 nights and 2 mornings (between 9:30-10am) we were not able to get coffee or food at breakfast because there were no where to sit, and only 1 person serving. We paid for breakfast.... 4) Bed was hard, the room was too hot but we were able to cool it because the hotel turns off cooling option from Oct 1 until Spring time. 5) We bought a nice bottle of wine to our room & asked for a wine opener from the front desk....no wine opener what so ever in the hotel for guest use.

The place was OK but we were expecting more. Problem might have been that everyone was on holiday as we stayed in mid August. A public holiday made thing worse. No food on the night we arrived and they were out of beer. Reception staff were great and gave us an upgraded room when we asked for a change as the first room's windows looked at a wall. The air conditioning struggled a little but it was a hot few days.

My friend and I stayed for one night at the hotel, on the night of Saturday, 5th May. It was truly awful, as our room overlooked the bar and there was loud music playing the whole night, till early morning. We were in Milan for business and the hotel cost us nearly £200 for the night. We expected to get a good nights sleep for this price. When we complained in the morning, the receptionist informed us that several other guests had complained and that she would give us a late check out which was offered to other guests. We were assured that the hotel would compensate us further for our bad experience and we should email you. We were exhausted the whole day on Sunday and late for our appointments so got delayed returning to the hotel. We asked the reception to book us a taxi to the airport, but they simply refused, saying they would only book it as far as the train station, regardless of whether we would miss our flight. This is a complete back track on our conversation in the morning, when we were assured of compensation in addition to the late check out (we didn't even require the late check out as we only had to collect our bags). We ended up paying €95 for the taxi to the airport as a result. The experience of staying in Fifty House has been terrible. With a hotel costing nearly £185 / night we would have expected a refund offered without hesitation as well as a taxi to the airport. We have had better experiences in basic B&Bs.

Bad Service (1) First of all, a cleaning lady came into my room without knocking ..she just said she is checking if my bathroom got any tissue paper ... she left with a blunt apology and I stood there speechless. What if I am not properly dressed ?? This is not acceptable for a luxury hotel (2) There is a restaurant down below all rooms and it was SO LOUD at night. MUSIC was so loud and people are lauging , giggling until 12am ... you wouldnt have a good sleep until midnight when the sound dies down. (3) I want to order room service from the menu they placed in my room. However, the kitchen said the menu is WRONG and they cannot provide any room service. I was like .. so . why on earth you put a menu in my room? After many phone calls to conceirge and kitchen, they finally made me a plate of pasta , delivered only after 30 mins (4) Last but not the least, my colleague asked for an iron at 10:30pm , and it delivered at 1230am!!!! The cleaning lady kept knocking on the door and calling at 1230am!!!!! Will you deliver something to your guests after 2 hours during midnight ??

Disappointing experience for the prices charged.
Not sure if it was due to the time of our visit in Milan Design Week, but the basic services such as the air-conditioner in the room and wifi did not work for 3 days. When you are doing business and paying these very high rates during Milan Design Week, you just expect these basic services to be working, but they didn't at this Design Hotel. On the fourth evening they gave us a wifi dongle and offered to change our room as the hotel was booked out prior, but we were leaving the next morning so we declined. The mini buffet breakfast for the first 3 days was lovely, but after the fourth day you can't help wishing that they would make a change or two for those staying longer. If you don't like music, best not to stay in the lower floors. Because our air conditioner was not working in our room for 3 nights we had to open the window and the Music from the courtyard was blaring very loudly each night which makes sleep difficult. There is no individual aircon control for each room, it is controlled centrally by the hotel. Water pressure and lighting in the bathroom is very low, more lighting in the bathroom would be very helpful, especially at night. They need to sort out these basic service issues and then the overall hotel experience would improve and they could better justify the prices they are charging.

The room they gave me was really bad because stay in an outside area of the hotel. The day I arrived late around 9:35 pm I needed to get to my room quickly and no one could take my bags to the room . The front desk didn’t explain the access to my room which made me spent more than. 10’min looking with 3 bags. The service is really bad.

Very nice charming hotel. Very friendly staff. They are willing to help you with any questions I had. Excellent breakfast. The only draw back is it is not close to underground metro. But we take bus in and out which is not too bad.

Excellent hotel with very exceptional staff. We are really enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect - just a 20 min walk to Duomo and other sightseeing & shopping points, with good restaurants & gelaterias just around the corner. We would highly recommend this hotel.
