This is a very economical choice abs fairly close to all the sights, particularly if you have a rental car. Staff are very nice. Space is very clean and the service the room every day. Only issue is that it has the esthetic of a retirement home.

The Inn was lovely with a homey, quaint feel. The staff was very helpful, breakfast filling and the location was close to the local sites. My recommendation is to put umbrellas on the back deck to make sitting outside more enjoyable. Thanks for a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay at The Carriage House. The staff was friendly and warm. The rooms were somewhat dated but clean and large. No electronic charging ports and accessible electrical outlets were scarce. Parking was plentiful. The breakfast was continental with granola bars, instant oatmeal and microwave breakfast sandwiches. It had a nice coffee and tea station. The area is about 10 minutes from Newport and a bit secluded.

The staff was extremely helpful and polite . Parking was great . The continental breakfast was very good. The only negative about the hotel is wooden floors in the hallway, so you hear the other resident coming back into there room and closing their door.. so it can be a little noisy at times.

Considering the price of the room, 6 min drive to the marina, free parking, overall it was a good stay. The room and especially the bathroom are very outdated. The staff was very friendly.

The interior was well kept and clean. The "mini" breakfast was good. Coffee was excellent. Not a fan of trying to get out of the parking lot on a pretty busy road. Was difficult to see oncoming traffic.

This was the perfect room for a getaway with my husband. There was a couch with a coffee table, a desk with a chair, a dresser and a king sized bed. I loved the room and the layout of the room. Breakfast was decent with enough options as I'm gluten free, and the coffee was excellent. Guy at the front desk was helpful with dinner suggestions. Overall was a beautiful, quiet place to stay.

We had an overall pleasant three-night stay. We requested a quiet room and were given a room on the top (third) floor, which was very quiet and peaceful. Please note that the elevator only goes up to the second floor. The room was clean and well equipped. What stood out most was the friendliness of the staff. We especially enjoyed our conversations with Keith in the evening. He made us feel very welcome and even offered us hot water for tea in the evenings. Breakfast items such as cereal bars and bagels, which you can heat in the microwave, as well as water, are provided free of charge. We would definitely recommend this inn for a stay in Newport.
