We enjoyed our stay at Mayfair House. It's a very unique and beautiful hotel. The decor is stunning and the food is excellent - especially for hotel dining. The service is also efficient and friendly.
Cons: The rooms are not sound-proofed well. We could hear every time someone bumped into a wall and we could hear the music from the courtyard. The rooftop needs to be updated - the fabric on the pool loungers was faded from the sun and had holes in it. The television did not work and apparently, all the TVs on the property were not functioning properly. For this, we were comped $60 off our tab. Honestly, we should have been comped a full night's stay because the television not working in ANY room is a pretty big deal. Finally, Expedia offered a $25 food and beverage credit with our stay. Great - except when we got to the hotel, the credit was ONLY for drinks and ONLY at the restaurant. We couldn't redeem the credit at the rooftop bar. So this felt like disingenuous advertising, especially when told it was a FOOD AND beverage credit.
All in all, I would come back to Mayfair House, but only if the rooms had better sound-proofing and the TVs were guaranteed to work.
