"The property was obviously older and in need of some upgrade work However, the mgt and/or staff "seemed" to be trying hard to improve things. Also he drove down from an offsite location to do a late check-in for us. All the amenities were functional, the main thing I observed was subpar cleanliness of some items (towels, bedding, etc.). I'm guessing either they are having trouble obtaining sufficient staff, or perhaps the manager is trying to do the work alone. So couldn't call it my "first choice" for staying in Cortez, but it was there when we needed it (and didn't have to fight with elevators or long flights of stairs, which is very difficult for my spouse to deal with)."

"The hotel was very good for the price. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was responsive to inquiries. But the breakfast yogurt machine was out of yogurt, and the hot tub was closed."
