Excellent location across from Uxmal ruins. Very interesting history of the Hacienda as well, including famous people such as Queen Elizabeth who stayed there! Breakfast was delicious and pool cocktails were also great. Grounds are beautiful and filled with colorful birds. Staff was accommodating. Don't expect uber modern luxury.

Exceptional Hotel Walk to Uxmal

Loved everything about this hotel. Service was exceptional, warm and helpful. Spacious, lovely room and grounds. Enjoyed reading about the history of the hacienda. Especially appreciated that we could walk a very short distance to Uxmal ruins so we were able to beat the crowds. Breakfast at the hotel had a great selection. Had to walk a short distance for lunch and dinner but enjoyed the food at both of the meals. Highly recommend this hotel.

Quiet and safe place, located very close the Uxmal ruins. Very nice old Hacienda, with lovely gardens and surrounded by nature. Our room had a fantastic view of the adjacent green areas. Bathroom with tub was in excellent condition. Be aware that dinner and lunch are held in the restaurant that is slightly farther from hotel, near the entrance to Uxmal; you'll will need to drive but it's no big deal. Also, pool is not heated. Overall, great experience. We will definitely go back.

The Hacienda Uxmal is beautiful, charming, comfortable and clean. It is a perfect location to stay as you explore the Uxmal Ruins and travel the Ruta Puuc.

Weekend Retreat

Super relaxing weekend getaway from Merida. Rooms really nice, lots of outdoor seating. Pool was great. Not many dining options around. Breakfast at hotel was quite good. Will definitely come stay again.

Beautiful property. The only negative was the lack of a currency exchange which was advertised on the website. Pesos are very hard to find.The manager, Biensur, was very helpful

The property is very beautiful, so no complaints there. However, the WiFi never worked and the room had a TV with only two channels and both had some much noise that they were impossible to watch. Due to the limited dining choices on the property (they only serve breakfast from 7-10 am), we had to eat once across the highway at a very overpriced location. If you have a car, I would recommend driving to Santa Elena or Ticul to find dining options.

Our last stay was early 2020 before the pandemic. Now it's minimalist There is no lunch or dinner service There is only breakfast service by the pool There is no lunch or dinner available requiring you to walk or drive across the highway or down the road No welcome drink, as advertised If television is important, forget it. Only 3 snowy channels with an antenna, not satellite, as advertised Some rooms have a safe, others do not, so you may want to check/specify when booking The staff is friendly and attentive.

We enjoyed our stay at The Hacienda. Our rooms were clean, the bedding was great, and staff was courteous and helpful, but they allowed a family to play ball in the pool. This family was playing rough and tangled my 5-year-old in their playful brawl. My husband asked them to be careful but they continued. There was enough staff around to notice and no one jumped in to stop them. It was a shame. It made my experience unpleasant especially since I mentioned it to the reception and the family continued their game with a ball the next day. I didn’t bother to enter the pool again.

Advertised wifi but it was barely good enough for email. Service dropped every 30 seconds regardless of which router on the property you sat next too. No bicycles as advertised. Restaurant is only open for breakfast. You have to cross a dangerous road in the dark to get to the only restaurant that's open at the resort by the ruins. Property itself is beautiful and the pool is very nice. We left a day early because without wifi I couldn't work and my wife couldn't study. Property told us they'd give a refund for the 2nd night but have only gotten a run around from them and Expedia who each blame the other but neither will call the other and leave me as the middle man between what he said and what she said. Would not stay there again.

Nos engañaron

Me decepcionó mucho mi estancia, realmente esperaba mejor experiencia, mi experiencia fue la siguiente: 1. Reservamos eligiendo el hotel más costoso de la zona pensando que iba a estar en buenas condiciones, pero en realidad es que estaba cerrado y en mantenimiento y nos enviaron a otro de menor categoría sin compensación alguna. 2. Nos pasamos un rato en el hotel que originalmente seleccionamos pero no había absolutamente nadie, la recepción cerrada, luces apagadas, etc. pensamos que nos habían estafado, hasta que después de un rato llegó alguien de seguridad y nos envío a otro hotel a que preguntaramos. 3. En el hotel que nos alojaron las camas eran más pequeñas y duras, dormimos realmente muy incomodos, en su momento solicite un upgrade y me dijeron que ese era, yo creo eso era una mentira porque yo me había metido antes a revisar ese hotel y precisamente no seleccione ese hotel por los tipos de habitaciones que tenían. 4. El internet en ese hotel estaba terrible muy mal la señal, al igual que el wifi. 5. El servicio del personal en general realmente muy amables, todo el personal fueron muy respetuosos. En general, me decepcionó principalmente porque nos ofrecieron un hotel que estaba cerrado sin avisar con anticipación la situación.

Beautiful property well situated to lots of attractions (pyramids, planetarium, eco-park/museum) but the restaurant staff ranges from mostly disinterested to somewhat dishonest (pretty obviously did not bring back correct change, helping herself to a very nice tip) and as other travelers have noted elsewhere, the restaurant is overpriced for what you get. Clearly needs better management if staff is this lackluster.

La habitación es cómoda y grande. Es una pena que el servicio de restaurante no esté a la altura, se equivocaron con uno de los platos y tocó esperar más aún, el postre, ya pedido, se olvidaron de servirlo, lógicamente después de esperar un buen rato, nos fuimos. Un desastre.

Un très agréable hôtel juste à côté du site maya

Hôtel historique d'UXMAL dans une véritable hacienda. Proximité du site. Grandes chambres agréables. Robinetterie pas récente mais tout est parfaitement entretenu. Piscine de bonne taille. Petit déjeuner mexicain classique un peu cher sans possibilité de l'acheter avec la chambre. L'hotel ne faisait pas restaurant à notre passage et le seul restaurant proche est dans l'hôtel voisin. Il est mauvais et vraiment cher pour ce qu'on y mange.
