The Hilton was not as nice as others I've stayed in and felt somewhat outdated. Our original room didn't have a good view, and although they upgraded us to a king room, it seemed like it might have been a less desirable room with no view. At $200 a night, I expected a better experience.

Close to trams, trains and St Kilda Road and the Arts Precinct, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and well-appointed and despite it being on Flinders St, we found it quiet!

Good hotel and location. I was disappointed to get a room with an adjoining door, not usually an issue but it was not sound proof at all. Occupants of the room next door arrived back after midnight and their TV and general talking were very distracting. Something to be aware of when checking in,

All good in side. Receptionist on my arrival was excellent. The walnut cookie was very good. Bit awful outside but not uour fault , the tunnel works are messy. The room was good, everything i needed but the mattress was a real let down
