The amenities were impeccable. The staff were friendly. The location is a relatively short drive to the airport, traffic permitting. The guided tour of the prisons is a must. 😊

Great hotel, well placed near a mall. Up the road from some tasty eateries, and very close to public transport. The converted prison grounds it's located in resemble a medieval castle, but the hotel itself is modern and cozy. A car will get you into the CBD considerably faster than rail, but the tram line stops right near the zoo, and then the Queen Victoria Market. I ended up using it extensively with no issues.

Easy check and out. Nice, clean and modern stay. The only the part that was strange was finding out its history being a previous prison. Didn’t realise until we got there. Quite strange. No issue with the history itself just strange that you’d turn it into accomodation/ dining experience while promoting its history. Feels a little disrespectful.

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel and it did not disappoint. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. I’m looking forward to returning when next I’m in Melbourne.

This was my 2nd time staying here in acouple of weeks, absolutely love it! Everything is so clean and comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in a 2br both times, so spacious and relaxing. Just a quick trip on a tram to the city and nice to have a beautiful city view but to be able to relax without the hustle of the city. The precinct is amazing, the most gorgeous IGA with everything you need, even hot roast and other restaurants and Brewdog brewery as well, you really dont need to leave here, a great play ground for the kids in the precinct as well. The pool area in the motel is absolutely gorgeous. I've already booked again for July, my new Melbourne home,
