"Comfortable room, friendly staff. Had pleasant meal one night, and enjoyed cooked breakfast. Spent few hours in pub lounge, great atmosphere. Small point, we were in room 9 which was noisy at night due to extractor fan out
side. Other than that we enjoyed our stay."

"The room was great, well presented and comfortable. The sheets were clean but didnt quite fit. The mattress protectors could have done with replacing.
There's an Indian restaurant on site - we didnt eat there due to prior arrangements but it smelt great.
We would stay again"
"Overall very good top marks for room cleanness, staff polite and helpful, breakfast good choices available, parking very convenient. Very relaxing stay.
Also lovely outside with seated courtyard garden. Would recommend The Family Tree."
"I stayed overnight and enjoyed a very good dinner, a satisfactory continental breakfast and a well-organised and varied buffet lunch (for a funeral party). I would stay at the Oakhill again if I needed to spend time in that neighbourhood."
"We have a lovely stay. Perfect location for visiting Bakewell.and Matlock.
Accommodation was great. Clean and bed was very comfy.
Ladies in the tearooms downstairs were lovely and friendly.
Breakfast was fabulous.
Would definitely recommend a stay here."
"This is a wonderfully quirky and unique place to stay. The accommodation is just perfect. Hosts Steve and Elaine have created a tranquil and idyllic tiny retreat at Robin Hood Tower. Comms were great and Steve showed us around, sharing local history and top tips for our trip. Canal side walks were glorious. A magical stay."
"Hotel is a nice building (set of buildings) in a gorgeous, quiet village (other than the hotel / bar). Our room was over the bar and whilst there was some noise, it wasn’t too loud. The bedrooms are good rather than stunning and have a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, nice biscuits and fresh milk (hooray). Our room had a shower but no bath.
Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and professional.
We were happy with the stay, but left feeling it was a bit expensive for what it was."
