They also serve home made marmalade , lovely.
The beds were comfortable, water and milk provided and left in the fridge, in the room!
Beautiful garden to sit in and the staff were lovely.

"Located in a very beautiful location within walking distance of several points of interest, such as The Shambles, York Minster, the City Walls, bars, and restaurants. The breakfast served in the morning is truly exquisite. The room and the hotel in general seemed very clean, in excellent condition despite being an old building, and safe. The attention and friendliness of the front desk and breakfast staff were exceptional!"

"Fantastic place to stay, was perfect for us when visiting Harrogate and North Yorkshire. Staff were excellent, super polite and helpful, showed us to our room and nothing was too much trouble during breakfast. Was nice to see staff take so much pride in their hospitality. Room was clean and stylish, extra points for a modern bathroom, with the balcony area being great for sitting out in the stars and chatting. Would happily go back here. Place was 10/10, and in a great location for transport too"
"Very old property with an antique charm. Our bedroom was very well taken care of. Our only complaint would be the bathroom being a little narrow and damp. But these are things that must be traded off for when considering the age of the building. Its proximity to the Yorkminster made it very nice and easy. The food and drink as well as food service was very good. Servers and bartender were knowledgeable about the drinks and gave us good advice when it was needed."
"Full of character Beautiful furnishings. We had small executive double room , bed really comfortable , en-suite modern and clean Breakfast huge and delicious ! Across the road from York Minster Only minor complaint was that the bar closed early (around10.30) Other than that it was perfect and will definitely return "
