I had an amazing time at the Riad Africa and I recommend it if you are looking for a great experience in a Riad, in the Médina. You are close to many attractions and all in the meanwhile very calm and not noisy. Plus, I made a mistake in a booking and the staff (Mohammed) really helped me and went over and beyond to help. I really like the fact that you can comeback to the pool after a day in the sun and really enjoy a peaceful time there. I recommend this Riad 150%. If I ever have to comeback to Marrakech one day,I know where to go!

June 29, 2026 - Amazing Riad. If coming to Marrakech, this is your place to stay. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Great location in the Medina No need to get a walking tour since you are in the Medina itself. Great food as well. As an American being in Morocco for the first time I felt completely safe not only in the Riad but also the Medina. In summary, this is where you should stay. I’ll definitely be back!

A beautiful Riad to say the least. They have a great breakfast buffet in the mornings. The rooftop terrace is breaktaking. Staff are friendly and always ready to help. The pool is well maintained. The location is hard to find but worth the experience as it’s not far from the entrance to the souks. The Riad is perfectly located - close to the Medina and souks.

I loved my stay at Riad Africa. The property is beautiful and located close to the main path in the souk. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even gave me a free room upgrade. The room was lovely, comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty. I'd definitely recommend this location and would happily stay again when back in Marrakech!

We had a great visit to Riad Africa. The hotel is well situated in the souq, but at the same time just down a little quiet side street. The hotel is beautiful inside and looks like the pictures. It was quiet and tranquil and the rooftop terrace was lovely, particularly for breakfast and at sunset. Our room was very nice, right by a smaller pool than the one in the photos, with a double bed and a single bed, and good air conditioning. The beds were really comfortable, we both slept very well, and there were plenty of power sockets for us. The bathroom wasn't huge but perfectly adequate with a nice quite powerful shower. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. My son was delighted at how good the Wifi was. The hotel sells some drinks - water, soft drinks etc - and there is a small shop just where the lanes from the hotel meet the main souq. There is a taxi rank about a five minute walk away. For our trip to Riad Africa from the airport, we arranged that the hotel picked us up so that we could be shown to the hotel, and that was really helpful. Once someone shows you the way once, it is really easy to find. Hoping to be back soon.

This place was perfect!! Really clean and comfortable. Room was just want I needed. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Hotel is located in the old town about seven minutes away from the big market. Walking through the little shops leading to the market was great too! Would definitely recommend.

The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped, but extremely small, especially the bathroom. It was a very slim single bed with a hard mattress, and noise during the night from the power unit. Staying in this riad was such a unique experience and we loved our stay. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. The room was nice and clean and we really enjoyed the pool. It was pretty chilly, but we were visiting in August so it was a nice relief from the hot day. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. We also had our 8 year old with us and felt like this was a family friendly accomodation.

I chose this Riad since it was good value and also had the pools and spa. I booked the spa package which was excellent and refreshing. Place isn't new but it's charming and I had a nice stay there. The breakfast was simple but nice, beds comfortable and they had air-conditioning which is much needed as it was very hot. The staff went above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, very helpful and friendly. Overall it was an excellent stay.

Arrived to be told that the room I had booked was not available, and we were being put in there sister riad. At 1st I was not impressed . Once taken to the other riad I changed my mind. It was amazing, the room had everything that you wanted. Kettle, fridge, tea and coffee, smart tv and air-conditioning. Room was very clean. Only downside I can say is the shower was always cold. Breakfast was amazing and and the hosts were great, nothing was too much trouble. They even gave my wife and I a amazing evening dinner for the inconvenience. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a delightful 8 night stay at this gorgeous riad. Great location. Very quiet and only a 5 minute walk to the bustling souks. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the roof terraces are so pretty where breakfast is served every morning. The riad boasts an elegant library comprising of sumptuous sofas with an array of books and a separate room for playing chess. Very comfortable canopied areas all around the riad if the heat is too much or in the event of a shower. Top terrace has loungers with large sun umbrellas and there is an abundance of outside seating with tables. It was a joy to stay there!

Some of the outdoor furniture was shabby and outdoor space did not feel very relaxing. Nowhere to get a drink in the road - both would have been greatly appreciated after the hustle and bustle outside. Staff were very attentive and helpful, with service at breakfast and daily room cleaning deserving of a special mention. It was in the perfect location close to lots of restaurants. Not sure I would book the trips again as we were the only people in the groups!

Not sure if the hype of this place lived up to expectations upon reading reviews. The host is lovely and more than welcoming however everything runs on “African time” so don’t expect to do anything on time. Its sometimes a nice change from the chaos outside the riad in Marrakech streets, but difficult with a hungry toddler. The property is well maintained, but down a quiet dirty street. The service was slow and they were unable to keep up with breakfast demand. The roof terrace was nice but worn and most of the shades broken.
