"We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows.
Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available.
There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk.
They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink...

"The gardens and grounds are the saving grace of this hotel. It is set in beautiful grounds with a small private beach a 10 minute walk away. But the hotel is let down by a severe lack of staff (either completely absent or over stretched), very poor breakfast (eggs which are unseasoned and unlike any scrambled eggs I’ve eaten), coffee which was so watery I wasn’t sure what I was drinking) and watered down juice and cheap bread. The bar was often shut and it took the hotel over an hour to open...
