Front desk staff not friendly just treat you like an annoyance, no smile, no name usage, just another number, not a guest…next! Did not feel welcomed at all when we arrived for check in after a long day of travel. Room was dated and worn, looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 80”s. Cheap paper disposable cups no coffee maker in room, just cheap kettle and some tea bags, no chinaware, think Days Inn, Motel 6. Not 4 star, is a 3 star hospitality and room. You have to pay extra for the set up at the beach, 30 euros a day. If you lose your beach towel or the beach card they give you they charge you another 20 euros per.
Food and Beverage staff were great and seemed to care about you. Food was decent at dinner and breakfast. Restaurant is on 5th floor and has a beautiful view. Housekeeping staff were also kind and friendly.
You are paying for location and view.
When we checked out at front desk no goodbye or any sense of hospitality, no safe travels, just don’t let the door hit you on the way out attitude.
Hotel in general looks tired and dated. We did not use the pool on 5th floor, is small but looked nice. Location of hotel in Maiori is convenient for ferry, restaurants.
You are paying for 4 star hotel but you are getting 3 star standard.
I would not recommend this hotel or would I stay there again.
