Thank you to the staff for being very friendly and hospitable. This B&B is in a central location very close to blue bay. It is very safe and has good parking options. The room is clean and nice for short or long term stay. Breakfast was delicious and they have a different offering everyday. Thank you again.

Affordable and good condition

This is really great for the price. It’s simple, very clean and in good condition. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There is a 10 minutes walk to the waterfront. If you are looking for something to a low price, but still in good condition I can highly recommend

This Guest House is located in a residential area of Maheburg, so you will need to have some sort of transportation (car, bike, bus, taxi...). Within walking distance: The Bo'Valon Mall is 1.6km away, there is nice restaurant called Le Bistrot which is 350 meters away, and the London Way super market is 400 meters away. Owner and Staff work very hard and give excellent, friendly service. They are constantly working on maintaining the property. It is VERY clean. There is limited private parking within the property, but street parking is available. There is a wonderful garden, court yard with a small swimming pool. Wifi is fast and reliable. Air Conditioning is ice cold. Rooms have en-suite toilette and shower, small refrigerator, a kettle for coffee or tea, and a safe. Breakfast is served daily 07:00-09:00 and prepared to order. Coffee is excellent. There is no bar or restaurant. I felt very safe during my stay. Overall this is an excellent B&B and is a very good value. I definitely would stay again!

Let's start with the positive notes. It is ridiculously cheap, the breakfast is cooked and varied everyday, the room is spacious and there are complimentary toiletries. On the other side, however, I have to point out that the room was never cleaned during my stay (3 nights), all the plugs are of the british kind (thank God they gave me an adapter), no complimentary water, just a single glass bottle (probably of tap water) provided at the beginning, awful location, in the suburbs of mahebourg, (you have to walk at least 15 minutes to get to mahebourg, 1 hour to get to blue bay) and, most importantly (even more important than the room never been cleaned) is the unfriendlyness showed by every member of the staff. I mean, when I arrived no one smiled at me, the indian big lady had me do 2 flights of stairs carrying two bags, without even pretending to give me a hand (in the other b&b a very old lady helped me with the big suitcase), no smiles during the breakfast, nothing asked like "how was your stay?" when I left. Hospitality is not a job suited for everyone, I'm not saying that you actually have to care for every single one of your guests, but at least you have to pretend. If you can't even make the effort to pretend, then you're in the wrong line of business. And, since your b&b is definitely not the best one in the area, and the area itself is kinda lame, you should try to improve.

We arrived later than expected, but were warmly welcomed without any issue—such a lovely start. The hosts kindly recommended a local restaurant that delivered, and we were delighted when it arrived promptly with delicious food. We enjoyed the property, our comfortable room, the dining area, small but nice pool area with colourful plants and birds and the convenient parking. Everything was spotless. The breakfast was tasty albeit not a lot of choice. That said, excellent value for money. We enjoyed our stay.

Great place to stay - 3 nights

Lovely place. Had a peaceful stay and was able to walk to Mahebourg town to explore the area. The breakfast was great and the room was big enough with a nice balcony iverlooking the street. Also very easy to get to Blue Bay by bus.

The location of Le Bovallon was perfect for us. It was a short walk to Mahebourg and far enough from the town to be nice and quiet. There are a couple of good restaurants and a supermarket within a 5-minute walk, and the beaches of Pointe d'Esny and Blue Bay (best snorkelling on the island) are a 5-10 drive away. Our apartment was clean and quiet and had everything we needed. Breakfast was interesting and nice, consisting of drinks and toast you helped yourself to, and a surprise breakfast of the day that was prepared fresh (waffles, pancakes, omelettes, fruit salads, etc). Le Bovallon was excellent value, and the host and staff were friendly and went beyond what was expected, even allowing us to have a shower after we had checked out due to our late flight. We loved it, thanks everyone x

Nice room

The room was great. There was a small fridge and a small desk. There is no kitchen. The "fan" in the aircondition was unfortunately broken, however with a piece of tape, we could fix it. The bathroom was great with a toilet and shower.

Rapport qualité prix top, et il y’a même le petit déjeuner inclus ! Simple, mais te font quand même un bagel fromage viande salade, ou crêpe minute fouree. Piscine agréable et propre. Jus de fruit au Check in, toujours plaisant. Emplacement calme, chambre avec balcon, se bain rénové… vraiment sympa. Le seul bémol serai d investir dans une bonne literie. (Le lit grince, matelas pas très épais et même pas de protège matelas, juste un simple draps qui recouvre celui ci.) mais c est propre ! Et pour le prix je recommande.
