"Room spacious, very comfy beds. Opening window and radiator was ideal as due to having asthma, air con can make my condition worse so was glad to have options. Breakfast was an excellent selection. Staff attentive, happy to help, but left you be to relax and be a guest not a customer which so few hotels now do. Very pleased, will stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. "

"Room was very clean , comfy bed , breakfast was not great , very raw looking bacon , sausages undercooked and not very hot.lady at the press cooked my sausages again in the kitchen , and we ordered poach eggs that were fresh. Breaskfast was a let down , but overall stay was good ."

"Beautiful place. The room was spacious and the bathroom updated. The building and the pub downstairs is very nice. Location is perfect to see everything Chester has to offer."

"Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy access to the train station and a 5-10 minute walk to the town centre. Nice twin room and good breakfast options. Staff all friendly. The only downside is parking next to the hotel is convenient but very expensive."

"Room was spotless, shower was a bit temperamental. No air con so got a bit hot. Could do with bottles of water in room and glasses. Could do with drawers at bedside. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food. Bar was spacious with cinema screen and seating. Plenty of parking spaces. Would definitely recommend."

"We have been coming here every year for the last 10 years. Decor hasn’t changed and really is in need of a refurb now. Breakfast was also really disappointing this year, no decent hot drinks unless you paid for them in addition to a hot breakfast. Also VERY surprised having to pay for breakfast before leaving the restaurant (rather than at check out) This used to be the gold standard hotel to stay at for the races but not now I’m afraid."
