"The location was excellent, just right around the corner from the bus station and very close to the centre. To be honest, theres so many good things to say about the place. Very tidy and clean, and a really nice vibe. Free breakfaat in the morning - continental. Free tea an coffee. Kitchen had everything you need. Highly recommend and my four night stay was very good value."

"We asked for a double. It was advertised that it was 279 sq ft. The room we are in is not even close to 279 sq ft. We are being charged $400 per night for a room that is not as advertised. Lots of other issues, like a shower that will flood the bathroom if you don’t block the water with your body at all times. We only see windows from the other rooms 40’ away that look directly into ours even tho our room was advertised as having a city view. Also advertised as having an in room safe-we didn’t...

"Did not get the breakfast but the room was spacious and comfortable. I appreciated the tea kettle and chocolates. The shower pressure was good. Only problem was that housekeeping was cleaning rooms very early and it woke us up early, but the front desk staff said he would let the manager know and compensated us for our trouble, which was terrific customer service. I would recommend this hotel based on quality and proximity of Latin Quarter"

"This is an unusual hostel in that there are private rooms with bathrooms too. It had neat boho vibes--reminded me of early 1970's when I was in college. Everyone was so friendly and kind. "We stayed two nights. The hotel is beautiful, fresh and new. The front desk staff was helpful. We dined in the restaurant and had drinks in the bar. Food and beverage staff was excellent. We enjoyed a few nice conversations with hotel staff! Great recommendations for Galway. Front desk staff assisted us in using local transit service into downtown Galway and had a fantastic day. "Loved this stay. Affordable, clean, quiet. It’s a bit far for a direct walk to downtown but there’s a bus stop right nearby, and we didn’t mind getting the extra walking in so mad the walk multiple times anyways. The campus is gorgeous, you can walk by the River and get a nice view of a castle. Campus wasn’t busy at all. Highly recommend if you’re in the area looking for somewhere affordable. I’ll probably be staying here whenever I’m in the city in the future."

"I loved my room at the Woodquay. It was so cozy and had everything I needed. The bed was super comfortable and check in and check out was very easy. It is a very short walk to all the coffee shops, restaurants and other places to go, like the Latin Quarter, the Long Walk and surrounding area. I would definitely stay there again and totally recommend it for others. "
