"Our friends booked the place for their wedding. We stayed overnight in the hotel on the third floor. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the grounds were well-maintained and beautifully-lush. Our only caution if you are considering this venue is that the rooms are not sound-proofed and you may need to pay for your room in cash (their card reader was down when we all checked-in). As for the area, the venue is a resort and fairly isolated, so be prepared to drive or cab anywhere else."

Everything is in top condition, and for something rated as three-star, it has everything a much more highly rated hotel delivers, including a fully stocked mini-bar. "We got a small room in the heart of Downtown. It was clean and cozy. Bedsheets were fresh. Shower a bit tight, but clean and did the job. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants, walking distance to historic places. Overall, it was a great stay for the price."

"Welcoming and helpful staff. Beautiful building and warm and cosy room whilst outside temperature was far below zero. Very comfortable pillows and a great bed. Very quiet over night so slept undisturbed. Great collection of choices for breakfast and view over the town centre from the restaurant. Plenty of parking space available. The hotel has it's own power supply and heating. There is also a shelter below the ground floor. Highly recommended hotel. Very close to the centre of the town....

"We arrived at the George Hotel in the middle of the night due to the train schedule. The Hotel staff had arranged for our pickup from the train station and were very warm at reception when they provided us with our room key and invitation to breakfasts. The room was very clean, well appointed given the historic nature of the hotel. The bed was comfy, shower perfect and the staff very accommodating all week. The buffet breakfast in the beautiful dining room was plentiful and well laid out. Again,...
