"Just checked out of the Old Winter Palace, a quietly dignified landmark built in 1886 for British aristocrats wintering in Luxor. Its faded grandeur still lingers—shaded colonnades, clipped gardens, and that peculiar hush found only in places touched by history. Howard Carter was staying here when news broke of Tutankhamun’s tomb; the echoes of that moment still seem to drift through the high shutters and marble halls. "This hotel is centrally located just minutes away from Luxor Temple and adjacent to the town market for souvenir shopping. Breakfast is served on the roof, but after that it turns into a full restaurant which also provides excellent lunch and dinner options. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very well maintained. The only item small negative was that the rooms are pretty small (especially relative to the size of the bed), which makes it difficult to move around and open up luggage. But this is a just a minor inconvenience and should in no way affect your decision to stay here."

"This was a magnificent hotel. Tucked out of the way in the quiet rural part of the West Bank. The staff were super sweet and attentive and nothing was too much to ask. The room was gorgeous with heaps of character, you felt every bit of furniture had a story to tell. The food was the best we ate on our 2 week trip of Egypt, high quality and classy yet not ridiculously expensive. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone!"

"Beutiful hotel located on the pieceful West Back of Luxor. This property has the best views of the East and West banks of Luxor. The staff are welcoming and very helpful, offering sunset Felucca rides, and transportation if needed. The meals here are amazing. The best breakfast I have had anywhere in my travels by far. I would highly recommended staying here."
