expect OK receptionist but all staff are rude and racist and don’t want to work. The way my mother was treated, absolutely unacceptable. What I mean by they don’t want to work. I was turned away from two separate restaurants on property claiming you needed a reservation when there was clearly open tables. I walked out and found a manger. She follows up with, “we’re not busy enough right now to need reservations”. Very unfortunate and comfy feel that I ever had to deal with that.
Rip off. No guest activities. Kids club empty. Rooms dirty. Food overpriced. Staff not helpful. Doctor on site rips you off and prescribed wrong medicine.
Misselling, scams and Salmonella - that's all this place will promise. View the photos to see for yourself.
Firstly, we booked a two bedroom suite - what we actually got was an open plan suite with beds in different areas. Having a door to provide isolation and privacy is a legal standard (if purchasing from the UK). Beds could view directly into each other without any option of privacy. Also, bathrooms in this shared environment don't have locks on the doors. When I complained about this, I was told there were no other options and booking two separate bedrooms would incur a cost.
Secondly, I was served raw chicken on Friday 03 April. By Sunday, Salmonella had fully kicked in. Whilst I was alerting staff to this, other people we're complaining about the same thing. They obviously didn't learn their lesson as another review from a couple of days ago shows raw chicken was served at breakfast, causing food poisoning again.
Thirdly, we were informed that going to a restaurant other than the main buffet would be possible at a supplementary cost. We thought this was entirely reasonable and went to the Sway restaurant. The food there was enjoyable and the service was great, however we were charged 8x the agreed price at checkout and no-one was interested as to what we were promised.
On a daily basis we complained that our air conditioning wasn't functioning - no-one came and fixed it which left us very uncomfortable, especially at night.
Stayed in standard garden room and was overall very happy with our stay! We arrived early before out check in time and the front desk was very accommodating, making sure our room would be cleaned right away and offering us access to the breakfast buffet (for a fee). They only were kind in holding on to our luggage for the day as we had a tour booked. The room was arguably a little outdated but it was clean and we had everything we needed - we were primarily there for all-day sightseeing in Luxor and were really only in the room to sleep, so it was perfectly adequate for that purpose and good for the price. We spent some time by the pool, which was also very nice and checked out the animal zoo, which was very small, but fun, especially for kids. The breakfast buffet was lovely with lots of different options. They had plenty of outdoor seating on a beautiful patio overlooking the Nile, which we enjoyed immensely. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Dinner was either a la cart at different restaurants on the property (Egyptian, Italian, American) or buffet, both of which very good. Overall, this would not be my choice for a resort/beach vacation but is excellent for sightseeing + a little lounging.
I recently stayed at Jolie Ville and what began as a slightly chaotic arrival quickly transformed into one of the most memorable stays I've ever had.
From the moment I expressed my concerns, the staff responded with grace and professionalism, going above and beyond to ensure my comfort. Their attentiveness and genuine care turned my experience around completely.
The room upgrade was a delightful surprise—situated near the infinity pool and spa, it offered breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere that made my stay feel truly luxurious.
Every detail was attended to, and I felt valued and well-cared-for throughout my visit.
I highly recommend Jolie Ville to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but an experience of hospitality at its finest.
Thank you to the entire team for making my stay exceptional.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing. Upon arrival, I waited ~45 minutes for check-in with no assistance and had to follow up myself, followed by another delay to access my room.
As I work online, reliable Wi-Fi is essential; unfortunately, it was inconsistent despite assurances. That evening, a neighboring guest knocked aggressively through a shared door to complain, which was uncomfortable and inappropriate. The next morning, housekeeping mistakenly asked me to check out.
While the manager apologized and offered an upgrade, the experience was already impacted. Even after moving, poor sound insulation meant constant noise (voices, a crying baby, phones).
I chose this hotel for comfort and tranquility, especially to balance work and recovery after a medical situation. This was not met. I appreciate the efforts made, but given the disruptions, a goodwill gesture would be appropriate.
Had a wonderful stay at jolie ville hotel, staff were friendly and very helpful. Lauren came to our rescue when we had a small issue with our room door.

The Jolie Ville is more than Hotel & Spa, it is an institute of tranquility and manicured beauty!
Walks from the Villas to the service areas every morning was bliss.
The staff, ranging from room service, gardening, restaurant, simply all are professional and courteous. I miss the warmth and smiles.
To underline my rating, I am a long standing managing director for a prestigious european aviation group. I have travelled and experienced stays over 30 years, and this resort is an institution.
Certainly there is a choice, with stunning 5Star resorts, yet the Jolie Ville is one of a kind and I hope it remains as is, even coming of age, as long as I can visit.
Kudos to the management!
Great large roon with King bed and brought in single bed for my son. Friendly staff and good buffet breakfast, fab little zoo, warm and cool pool and gym, watching sunsets by the Nile.
