Wanderful Life Mont-Blanc Refuge de Luxe

"Wonderful property, good breakfast and very clean. Finding the property arriving after dark was very difficult. Also Expedia had not forwarded the instructions for access to property in time. Luckily another guest let us in and put us in contact with Mattias to get the codes for our room and front door. Property is not manned other than for breakfast so make sure you have the codes for the doors. Roads to property is winding narrow mountain driving. Would not like to drive here when there is snow on the road."

"An interesting stopover from France to Italy, Although a little out of the way, the village was worth the drive. Our room was small but we much enjoyed the little balcony which gave great views of the mountains. We also enjoyed the outdoor exhibition of local artist Samival, in the grounds of the church. Walkers would love the proximity to good hikes. We were a little shocked to be told that breakfast was only served between 6-8am, despite prior published information to the contrary. The evening meal was simple but tasty with no choice of menu (a baked cheese with potatoes and charcuterie). It was sufficient but would have preferred the mustard dressing, which had been thickly poured on the lettuce salad, to have been offered as an option. As such, for me the salad was inedible. Staff were friendly and efficient though waiting staff seemed anxious to clear away. Our evening meal was at 18.30 and we were the last to leave at 19.30. No loitering here!! Overall, recommend this hotel for walkers, perhaps less so for a romantic getaway, (although there was a nice lounge with a fireplace which looked inviting."

"Hotel is fairly clean. Room is on small side. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are very good. Quiet and peaceful. Just a few steps off the TMB. We would go back!"

"Everything perfect except for the fact that reception is only open morning and late afternoon. Great ski locker downstairs, pool, sauna, laundry, cleanness, spacious room, location pretty close to gondolas and not far from supermarket(s) so all in all worth for the price I paid via Expedia (around 600 euros per week...direct prices are higher). "

"Beautiful apartment, everything was spotless & new. WiFi was great, bed was huge & comfortable with a great view. Huge balcony & lovely seating area to dine. Kitchen had everything you needed & bonus wine fridge. Apartment slept 6, we were just 2 so lots of space. 2 bedrooms, one en-suite, separate toilet & bathroom with bath. Underfloor heating was great so never felt cold. Bath robes & slippers provided for us which was so great for the fantastic Spa. The Jacuzzi had very powerful jets, just what you need after days skiing, huge steam room & sauna. Lovely plunge pool & swimming pool. Underground free parking. Staff very helpful & free ski bus to slopes. "
