Canyon Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

Canyon Lodge & Cabins - Inside the Park

8/10 Good
"Canyon Lodge is a very nice hotel within Yellowstone. There are multiple units (we were in Chittenden which seems to be one of the newer ones). It is conveniently located near the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone (2 miles). The room was spacious, very clean, comfortable beds, decent shower/tub and refrigerator in the room. Although they are not air-conditioned, temps are comfortable with window open--no noise at night. The "amenities" are in the Canyon Village which is ~.5 miles from the lodges--food is OK--stick to the burgers and pizza. The only amenities in the lodge are the ice machine and vending machine. Canyon Lodge is much more modern than Old Faithful Inn, but not as "charming" or close to the sights. Would definitely stay there again."

"Everything was great—except dinner at the hotel. $52 for a steak. I’ve had much better for much cheaper. Wife’s pasta was equally disappointing. But, the breakfast buffet was excellent. Hotel is great! Our room had a view of the lake. In the morning, we heard and saw elk outside our window."

Grant Village - Inside the Park

8/10 Good
"We stayed at both Canyon Village and Grant Village. Canyon lodge felt a little newer, but technology didn’t work. Grant building older, but WiFi worked. Canyon has a few more dining options, but I really liked the ease of the Mexican taco bar at the Lakehouse at Grant."

Travelodge by Wyndham Gardiner Yellowstone Park North

8/10 Good
"Convenient & close to Yellowstone entrance, rooms are clean and comfortable. However the parking lot is small and we had to park pretty far from the room. The internet is also terrible, took multiple tries over 15 minutes to just connect one device. Please change this, as people need to plan the rest of their trips!"
