Staff responded immediately when called upon about any issue. I’m not sure if all motels should have a hair dryer or a landline telephone at all times but this motel did not have either in the room we stayed in. Maybe, it’s upon request. There was a microwave and a refrigerator which we were very thankful for. The towels and linens I feel like they need to upgrade. Overall, our stay was great. We slept pretty well, the room was clean, stores were nearby, and the area was quiet.

The manager and gentleman at the desk who checked us in, BOTH of them, went above and beyond. Really can’t express how great customer service was. Thank you for making our stay so easy!!! Great place to stay!!!

Overall the Sunshine Motel was just okay. The room had an interesting smell although very clean and tidy. The hotel door only partially locked and had to use my knife to enlarge the dead bolt hole. I personally wouldn't stay there again because of a few dislikes but I guess you get what you pay for. Management and employees were friendly though. 3/5 stars.

Motel for the LBGP

Emergency motel to the rescue! I booked a room to attend the Long Beach Grand Prix but received a call the day before my arrival telling me my room was canceled because someone damaged it. I was panicked and quickly located Sunshine Motel. It was expensive but everything else was double. So I took a chance. I found the place to be old but clean. The room was fine, the bed was okay and it was quiet. The manager is behind a screen but was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is fine with a number of food choices. It worked out well.

Clean but loud

The staff was really nice and the place was pretty clean. Unfortunately there were a few problematic. There were no drawers or closet in my room. I had no where to put my clothes. I didn't mind living out of my suitcase but that could be a deal breaker for some. I know this was not any fault of the staff but the walls were paper thin and a number of my fellow vacationers seemed to be having domestic disputes. I think its one of those you get what you pay for things, and like I said the

The older person who welcomed us was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. The room was recently renovated, clean and modern. The bathroom was especially nice with new quality fixtures which worked well.
