Long Beach Marriott

"Free parking! Very spacious room! Lots of storage! Vinyl floors! Great sofa/lounger! A/C worked great and was decently quiet. To save you a google, to make the shower wand work, you have to pull the little knob with a wash cloth while water is off. Mini fridge is more of a beverage cooler, I wouldn’t trust anything beyond drinks. No fan in bathroom. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe my entire stay. Bright lights across entire parking lot, no creepy characters hanging around, discreet and efficient check in, you need a hotel key for the elevators, room door is heavy and shuts and locks automatically behind you. I didn’t use any of the pools, but they looked lovely!"

"The hotel is very inviting. The surrounding area is walkable to many restaurants. After driving all day, it’s nice to not have to get in the car again to go eat somewhere. Parking is very convenient, and we were comfortable leaving our 12 passenger van overnight there. Breakfast was more than adequate. The down side to the hotel is the swimming pool. It was so crowded! You have to sign out for towels at the main desk and return them there by a certain time or be charged."

"This is a nice, clean hotel. The staff was very pleasant and always friendly, the property appears well maintained. The rooms are on the smaller side but had everything I needed for a one night stay. Two minor criticisms: the towels are small and thin, and I personally didn’t care for the scent of the shower products. One major complaint: I paid the $25 to the front desk to park at the Courtyard by Marriott parking structure, but when I got there I found no place to park except in the no parking areas along the walls of the structure (which is where a lot of other cars ended up). Would be nice if they had a system where both hotels could interface with each other to make sure they’re not overselling the parking spaces (my car was fine the next morning but I was worried all night it would be towed along with all the others parked along the walls of the structure). Other than that, I have nothing but praise for this place!"
