The Queen Mary makes you feel like you are traveling back to the late 30s and presents scenes right out of history and of period movies. While, it cannot compete for the size of the rooms or the number of modern fixtures and electrical plugs in a room, such as in a generic hotel chain, I defy any of those modern chains to match the excitement when feels when they have a drink at the observation bar, a masterpiece from the 30s, paneled with 20 different types of rare wood, or when they walk up and down the promenade deck to feel the grandeur of 1000 foot ship which was the greatest way to travel for a period of close to 25 years. "
