Room had an efficient layout. Temperature control was much appreciated. Water temperature and pressure were good. Staff were friendly. The staff helped us secure a day trip to Sintra that really made the trip memorable. Everyone was friendly and really made us feel welcome. They even helped us book our train tickets to Porto! I really enjoyed the location and charm of this hotel. We did the breakfast every morning and I thought the food was great. Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection. The waffles and pancakes were sweet and tasty. Fresh fruit, pastries, and fresh juices were available every morning. Alfama really comes alive once the sun goes down. Lots of cafes and restaurants appear out of nowhere! Note: the area is SUPER HILLY and VERY STEEP! But that’s part of the charm 😄 I was traveling with 4 people who are 70+, they struggled walking around the cobbled streets of Alfama.
