This place is perfectly located close to the water and great restaurants and all the attractions. It is very spacious, clean and convenient! My family of six (teenagers included) were very comfortable with the accommodations and location! Cannot wait to return or stay in one of their other properties.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is excellent—very central and close to everything, which made exploring the city so easy. The atmosphere was lovely, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting.

Rooms were clean however some of the furniture was in need of replacement (couch). Also needed minor repairs. No door handle on bathroom, kitchen garbage broken, wallpaper peeling in one bedroom. No impact to our stay however expect better for the price. Also no opportunity to drop luggage when early. Must pay for storage near by then collect and walk back to Ando. Good area and very close to many sights and main pedestrian street. Nice that you do not require keys and can use keypad for exit and entry.

Unfortunately, we can’t say we enjoyed our stay at Ando Living Madalena House. The location is very central, but also extremely busy and touristy, so it may suit those who enjoy being right in the middle of the crowds. More importantly, we were disappointed with the cleanliness. There were visible fingerprints and smudges on the cabinets and microwave, dirty light switches, and the bathroom toiletries had not been properly refilled—we were out of shampoo by the second day. One of the beds was also poorly made. I ended up cleaning several things myself, which is not something you expect at this price point. We also had very noisy guests upstairs until late at night, which made the stay less comfortable. Having also stayed at Ando Living Abrantes House, which we had a much better experience with, the Madalena location was unfortunately quite disappointing by comparison.

Highly recommend

Located in a very touristy area, the apartment was quiet and seemed removed from the chaos. Generous amount of space and nice design. Laundry was a great plus as well as the proximity to transportation options.

The apartment is ideally located with a tram stop nearby, easy walking distance to Almafa, and many gelato stores! Everything you will need is provided and bonus it has a washer / dryer. The building itself is quaint and it has an elevator (albeit stopping at every half floor for some reason). Even though it is located on a busy street, our apartment was on 3rd floor and we didn’t hear any traffic at night. We would definitely go again.
