Apart from the floor and the mirror, the rest of the room was in a terrible state (it was clean, just extremely old, worn, and damaged. "This was by far the best NOTL hotel I've stayed at. From the moment we walked in we were 'family ' The room was lovely, fireplace in the room, also windows that we could actu ally open!"

"A charming Inn to stay and enjoy all that passes by in Lock 7. Hskp staff very attentive and don’t miss a thing. Room 25 on 3rd floor is not perfect for photography as the neighbouring tree blocks a full shot of the ship in the lock. Balconies are a real plus and very clean! The chairs at the table are getting tired and should be replaced. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Make sure you visit the quaint town of Thorold. Lots of cafes and shops to enjoy within walking distance!"
