"The staff at Valdelana were fantastic. In October, restaurants are not always open but the hotel staff were informative. There are not dependable taxis in Elciego so it is great if you have a car. The cellar tour and tasting is not to be missed. I will stay here again and again."

"Centre of town next to cathedral fantastic location. Great tapas bar underneath and in san Juan or 3 minutes walk to calle del Laurel. Comfy bed, slept great and had a lazy day just going to Navarrete. My second stay here and the staff are great. Easy to book easy to get in at 2.15pm when I arrived and easy to leave on my lazy day at 10:45 feeling pampered after the albergue world of the Camino. I'd come here when I wasn't on Camino. Great value."

"Apartment style hotel. Good sized, comfortable rooms. We did not cook but the unit had a cook top and seemed to have all the cooking supplies you'd need. If you are facing the main street it can be a bit noisy due to the traffic and nearby cafes but it's only an issue if the windows are open. There's a laundry facility that you pay via and app that was much appreciated and the machines worked well. The hotel has onsite parking with a typically tight Spanish parking garage. La chambre très spacieuse, lit très grand et confortable, salle de bain bien équipée.Possibilité de dîner sur place (un menu à 45€) mais nous avons préféré descendre au centre à 5mn à pied, nous avons mangé au restaurant TOMBOLA, c'est le réceptionniste qui nous l'avait conseillé, nous avons très bien mangé.Nous recommandons sans hésitation l'hôtel CONVENTO."
