"The property is disgusting which we kind of expected from the reviews, we were only staying for 1 night so thought we'd take the risk, we definitely wouldn't have wanted to stay longer than 1 night though! The area was lovely, kept the kids busy all day with a bouncy castle, beach and park, unfortunately the water slide wasn't open though. The restaurant and staff were really friendly and helpful. "

"Fantastic location, very comfortable room, and great staff. You can easily walk to all the highlights in Chinon from here and it’s located on a lovely little square with lots of restaurants. I had a junior suite which was very spacious. The bed was really comfortable. Two things to keep in mind: there is no elevator so if you have accessibility issues, that might be a problem. The staff was great about helping me with my luggage. The second thing is there is no dedicated parking lot. You can unload your luggage in front of the hotel or in the lot at 11 Impasse Jean Macé, which is just around the corner from the hotel and gives you 15-30 minutes of free parking. Then you can move your car to one of the free lots about a 7-minute walk away. It’s very easy, but you should be aware when coming in that you’ll need to do this. It’s a lovely hotel and the perfect place to stay in Chinon."

"Hotel is in an excellent location, handy to historical centre. We booked the room based on having air conditioning, which it had but it didn’t work. So room was too hot and impacted sleep. Room had no fridge. When we asked for an ice bucket to cool drinks this was reluctantly provided. Reception lady said we needed to buy drinks from bar rather than drink our own. When travelling on a budget this is our choice as to how we drink. On Saturday morning street sweeper and garbage trucks run early so it’s hard to sleep in. Wifi was good."

"Stayed one night. In my opinion, this property does not match the level of quality I usually associate with Best Western hotels in the US. The room felt outdated and could have been cleaner. The carpet was quite dirty, and the curtain was partially off the window when we arrived.. On the positive side, the room itself was spacious, there was plenty of street parking nearby, and the reception staff were very kind and welcoming."
